Dr. Derek Walrod
Dr. Walrod grew up on a ranch in the Sandhills of Nebraska. He graduated from Gordon High School and attended UNL. After graduating from UNMC College of Dentistry, Dr. Walrod practiced in Gothenburg for 10 years before relocating to North Platte. He is a member of the American Dental Association, Nebraska Dental Association, and is a Fellow in the Academy of General Dentistry. He and Julie have three daughters which keep both parents very busy. He enjoys football, cars, yardwork, and just about anything else that sparks his interest.

Kayleena – Dental Hygienist
Kayleena grew up and graduated high school in Chappell Nebraska. She went on to Central Community College in Hastings, and received her Associates of Applied Science in Dental Hygiene in 2005. She is married to her wonderful husband Brooke since 2005. Together they have one son Trevor who is a smart and rambunctious boy. Her favorite part of dental hygiene is helping her patients obtain a healthy mouth which leads to a healthier body. She joined Dr. Walrod’s dental team in 2010. In her free time she enjoys cooking and being with family and friends.

Janice – Dental Hygienist
Janice attended Central Community College in Hastings, and received her Associates of Science degree in Dental Hygiene in 2000. Janice joined the Flatrock Family Dentistry team in 2007 and enjoys seeing her patients, while helping them maintain a healthy smile. Janice and her husband Gary have five children and four beautiful grandchildren. Janice loves spending time with her family.

Amy – Dental Assistant
Amy joined Flatrock Family Dentistry after receiving her Dental Assisting degree from Mid-Plains Community College in 2010. She is dedicated, patient, and caring. Amy is married with two children at home. In her free time Amy enjoys spending time with her family, and cycling.

Megan – Dental Assistant
Megan graduated from Dental Assisting school in 2011. She worked in orthodontics for six years, before joining our team at Flatrock Family Dentistry in 2017; she loves working on our Invisalign. Julie – Office Manager
Julie Was born on Edwards Air Force Base in California. She graduated High School in Stillwater, Oklahoma in 1993. From there she attended school at Southern Utah University and got her science degree. She worked in healthcare, but loves customer service and administration. Julie has worked in Billing since 2004, and joined Flatrock Family Dentistry in 2013. She and Derek raise three beautiful girls together. She loves cooking, travel, and gardening.

Bodi grew up in Kearney, and graduated high school in Amherst, Nebraska. Bodi’s focus after school was Elementary Education, which she did for 16 years. Called, Julie picked up at the office. She said Dr. Walrod was her husband, with a patient but he did tell her that someone would be calling regarding the website so she was expecting my call.

She didn’t look at our site yet. Gave her overview of what we do vs others to look out for when shopping around for QPS which is very competitive. Told her about our design process and how streamlined it is.

Has a logo already and not a big fan of social cause she wants to control what people post on there to avoid negative exposure. Told her that approach is our approach as well too which is more about engagement and that we will help guide them on what to post to connect with their followers vs others how they charge to do auto and excessive posts. She agreed. Was interested in doing Gold and add Social which I had included for her. Sent her contract and examples so she can review with her husband. Could be hot/cold. OVerall went great cause she was askign questions. f/u in a few days.
