I hope you had a great weekend! I removed the “patient education” page for now, and we are working on making the featured images left-aligned.

Changing the structure of the site from centered to full-width and also changing the background color to white would be considered as a “redesign”, which would be $2500. Please also keep in mind this will delay the launch of the site for at least 2 weeks.

He really likes the original photo and asks if we can use a less photo-shopped version or if we can use the original photo. A quick update, we didn’t have a chance to talk to the doctor yet, but I talked to the CEO of the company. You are on the right track with the structure of the previous homepage design, we just need a different feel to it, more technology-based layout, the word “futuristic” came up a few times. So, let’s keep the content of the homepage but reshape the buttons, change the background, overall layout, etc. They don’t want it to look like “any other medical website”. The only content difference, for now, is to remove”our Doctors” section on the bottom.

Now, with regards to the main photo, the idea we talked about earlier, is still strong – having Doctor’s image and bullet points next to him. Please don’t use the team’s photo. I like the colors and the structure. The only thing is that we are missing two important components: Blog and Directions.

I suggest having the blog next to testimonials. We can use the same space, just have two boxes there (shrink “Testimonials”) Blog on the homepage should automatically display the latest post.

There is a meeting planned for Wednesday. I’ll let you know ASAP.

We managed to get a preliminary feedback from the doctors and it isn’t what they are looking for, I am sorry.

They want the clinic to be positioned as a consultancy first, and then neurosurgery, see comment below.
Also, they don’t like that it looks like other practices and want the website to stand out from the crowd.

– social media thumbnails should be in the original color
– we must have a space for an educational video on the homepage. You can temporarily use one of Dr. Khavkin’s videos on YouTube but we should be able to place own video without replying on YouTube
– I couldn’t find a Referral Form in the design, it should be on the top menu
– Contact Information tabs below the main photo should be transparent and close to each other

We had the first round of discussions about the draft. The colors look good and “Our specialties” section is great!

We need to make a few changes (and they may be more to come);

– The logo should be further to the left
– We need another upper menu, where all social media icons will be placed as well as “Search”, Directions, Physicians Referral and Request Info
– We need to have a “Home” button, not everyone understands that they can click on the logo.
– The footer should have more links and information including clinics association.
– We need an easier way for people to leave information quickly. I was thinking about the idea of having three tabs below the photo (name, phone number, email)

While we work on your website, I would like to get a few notes regarding the logo design for Dr. Khavkin’s practice.

Process

1. You will receive an initial five concepts to start with. We can mix and match designs! At this point, try to focus on shapes and fonts rather than color.
2. Revisions: You will get approximately to 5 rounds of revisions. Let us know what suites you and what does not, don’t worry, we’ll try our best to get them as close as possible!
3. Approval: After the logo is approved, we’ll send you a set of files that can be used with any print shop or graphic designer. We’ll also add it to the website.

“Hi Danny,

Please see attached documents. The main color of the website should be blue/dark blue, with some purple elements. The main specialty of the clinic is neurosurgery and Doctor’s name is Dr. Khavkin, his photo should be on the main image (I will provide it). There are two other specialties: ENT and Pain Management. Aesthetics & Plastic Surgery is not a part of this clinic anymore (it is on the old website), they have a separate clinic now.

I will provide you with the list of conditions and procedures for each specialty. We would like to have a 350-word (up to 500) description of each condition that includes short introduction, symptoms, causes, risk factors, and treatments. They must be written in a simple (not academic) language and optimized for most popular search keywords related to the topic.

Procedures will have a much shorter description and supported by ViewMedica videos.

NOTE TO DESIGNER ASSIGNED: can you please come talk to me before your interview. I’d like to go over some details with this client that is specific to what he’s looking for.

– Elman (Manager) – extremely nice/friendly. has marketing background. Helping dr with rebranding and making the site more effective.
– he is in Chicago (2 hours ahead) working remotely. Dr’s office is in Las Vegas.
– he had sent an outline of the new Website’s infrastructure. I will create a separate post attaching that file along with his email comment. Please take a look at SITE’S INFRASTRUCTURE.
– ordered logo as well. told him that depending on the interview, designer will let him know to work on logo first, after, or simultaneously with the web concept.

– CONTENT: please do not send to client the content 360 to choose. we should have most of the content so simply add when the site is developed. If there are procedures we don’t have, ok to order to add to our content 360 site for future use. I have already put this in the pricing for the initial and higher monthly fees to offset if we need to add.
