Happy Friday to all! Sarah had asked why the new website does not have SSL. I believe Danny spoke with Shari back in October about adding this to your package but we never received a final answer since then.

Basically, the reason why SSL was not included in your package originally is that it is a new requirement by Google for all sites to have SSL applied to your domain. It’s similar to the new chip on credit cards – it is required for extra security and encrypts all of the pages on your site.

We do have a 2-for-1 special right now: you can get both SSL and ADApt for $399 + $39/month, which is a LOT cheaper than purchasing these separately in the future. This includes the installation, maintenance, and renewal of both products. It is highly recommended you get both of these products right away so that Google can recognize your site is fully encrypted and is also ADA compliant.

spoke to Shari (called me), told me about the hack (her husband called me earlier and desirae is currently working getting the developed sites that she’s working with shari on edit to simply launch it).

I brought up with Shari suggesting that she add the SSL since the domain is on the “radar” for hackers and they are very susceptible now in the future which is not good for the business. SHe didn’t know what it was so I showed her teh https on our site and how her husband is http which is standard. Explained to her how it works and its purpose giving her examples of sites with shopping carts, etc. She completely understands now.

She brought up how its a struggle right now for her cause her other business www.thelearningsolutions.com which got hacked as well too and that business has been on hold for a while now cause she had to take some time off due to her daughters chronic health issues. She stated that for now, she will ask them to take the site down due to the hack and will rethink about that business. Originally back then, she wanted to work on this site as well after her husbands site is done. With this issue and new cost, she is reconsidering. She asked if we can get a backup which i will ask desirae so in the future we can get a new one developed. based on everything, i had offered her to go with the silver at a discounted rate of $1,500 + $79/m in the future cause she wanted a very basic one. Aware its a optizign and migrate the backup info that we will store as a copy.

She will talk to her husband about the ssl $499 + $49/m quote.

Shari called, lm for me this morning to call her back.

Shari was frustrated with the miscommunication on the edit/revisions that was requested sent to desirae. There were things done that was not requested (pages moved around in the menu navigation). Image request for a featured box for a hispanic girl but image used was a girl with really messy hair. Asked her where, i didn’t see it. She wasn’t at computer. Could be a refreshing issue? Which I told her.

Shari started off stating how she liked Dr. Neil Hadaegh’s site (its black which is opposite of theirs, theirs is really nice) but later figured she meant the content and the uniformity of the pages whcih she wanted desirae to use as a reference. She asked which designer did that cause she felt if she worked with that designer, they would understand what she’s trying to tell her which she felt desirae didn’t get. She communicated with me wrong in the beginning thinking that she liked Dr hadaegh’s design which I told her that design and what she’s talkign about are different. she apologized. This could be the issue with her as well cause it seems how she thinks, how she write requests, she assumes desirae would undrestand which I pointed out to her. I had suggested moving fwd to simply continue sending the request with as much clarification in the email and if needed, put a note to ask Desirae to schedule a call to clarify over the phone. This will prevent any miscommunication and if there are clarification needed between you or desirae, it can be addressed at the time. Told her in the future, updates will be quicker as well and there will be a support team making simple updates. This stage, there is a lot of personalization needed on her end and we will continue until site launches.

With regards to the content, she was also concern if she needs to talk to the writer directly cause it seems she’s having a hard time communicating. I told her what we can do is 1st of use Hadaegh’s site as a reference and we can put in a “request” to have the same writer. She liked that idea as well. DESIRAE, please make note of my approach here so we are on the same page when you talk to her to avoid her request which I diverted here. Also managed her expectation with the content writeup which she was confused up to this point, i told her the purpose of the content is to make it available to her husband vs him having to write it all up from scratch. Then he can rewrite the verbiage based on his view although its the same procedure that other dentist provide. She agreed and understood that there are no back/forth cause she thought that was the case.

Overall, at this point, continue wiht the ticket below and please ask if you need clarification to that. She mentioned she had emailed you a list of new revisions today, please also review that and see if you need clarification. Client may ask to shcedule a call after future edits BEFORE site goes live to clarify. I told her to be as specific as possible in the future when sending over revisions vs keeping things vague which will reduce the back/forth and will expedite the process.

Everything is good to go at this point Desirae. She’s very happy with the Website and how it turned out and thought you did a great job. Was just iffy on the personalization stage with you due to the miscommunication in my opinion is on her end based on my assessment of her. TY.

Our New Trained Therapy Dog
Macie was rescued from a San Antonio shelter in the summer of 2016 and has been in training to be your dental therapy dog ever since. At the time she was adopted, the vet estimated that Macie was a year and a half. We don’t know for sure but she appears to be part poodle because she is not a shedder, Cavalier King Charles Spaniel because of her coloring, and West Highland Terrier because of her body shape and wonderful personality. She is cute, cuddling and oh so calming! Macie is starting out as a part-time “employee.” If you love dogs, be sure to schedule an appointment on a “Macie Work Day” so she can be your therapy dog, too. She is eager to meet you!

My name is Desirae and I will be the designer working with you every step of the way, starting from concept to going live! I had a quick meeting with your account rep. this morning to discuss your account and review the notes you initially had.

This is a complicated case as far as domain and office address which will be changed in the future. Just focus on the design branding, don’t want to complicate you YET. lol.

Before going live in the future, I will finalize all the domains and redirect before going live. CHUDENTALGROUP.com will be the main parent domain. He has a few others for other location but i will figure it out with him.

had an hour long scheduled call with Dr, wife and social manager. Basically going over eveyrthing i had discussed with dr.

Gave me a history of the practice and how it came to be and what their intent/goals are in the future. Convo went excellent, gave him a lot of suggestions which they liked. Wife and social manager wasn’t too tech savvy with the domain and hosting based on my suggestion on how to set it up. Below is an overview of my suggestion.

onsitesurgical.com – currently Bandera address (office 1)
chudentalgroup.com – la cantera address (office 2)

NEW BIGGER OFFICE being built. Moving “chudentalgroup.com” domain and group name to the new address.
onsitesurgical.com domain will be redirected to ChuDentalGroup.com

La Cantera address/location will be for sale in the future. He owns a few other domains so he will designate this address to that domain. History-wise, it does not matter cause site was only launched for about a year. That history we will preserve for the current ChuDentalGroup.com . All Directories with “chudentalgroup.com” listed online, Dr understands he will go in to the main ones (yelp, google, healthgrades, etc) to update the address to the new location in the future once the new office is built.

Suggestion, maybe is to use the onsitesurgical.com design or the current chudentalgroup.com design for the “La Cantera” domain he will designate to to sell.

GoDaddy: Dr confirmed he owns ChuDentalGroup.com and onsitesurgical.com in his account along with a few others.

Sidenote: Shari (dr’s wife) teaches “speech” and has a site: http://mylearningsolutions.com/ which she had asked in the future if we can manage it for her. TOld her it is $500 to go with a template of ours which is what she wants. All the content on there are hers. Domain is currently with TNTDental where they are renewing for them but design/site is hosted with another company. Suggested to her to transfter that domain from TNT to Dr. Chu’s godaddy acount which she will need to coordinate with TNT. Once that is transferred, only cancel what she is paying them for renewal. But for the hosting with the other to keep it until we start working on the new template hosted by us.

As for ChuDentalGroup.com – told dr to not cancel anythign until we give them the go ahead in the future.

We will reconnect on this to go over and decide on all his domain and how he wants to redirect them so we can setup before going live.

It was good talking to you the other day. I need a copy of the legal notices, I can’t seem to open them from the attachment.

As I mentioned we have a unique situation which needs some explanation so you can help me create the best site possible.

I originally started Bandera Dental Care in the 1990’s around 2008 we began seeing many patients with special needs and complex medical conditions. As that practice grew, we knew that we needed a second location for our typical patients. In 2012 we opened a second location at La Cantera. We moved our typical patient base from Bandera to the new location. These are both part of the Chu Dental Group. In addition we have an Onsite division which does dental surgery and sedation in other dental offices and hospitals. So essentially three practices in one.

As of May 2016 we chose not to renew our lease for our Bandera office and are currently looking at locations to build our own building which we anticipate will be ready late 2018. At this time both the Bandera and La Cantera practices are being housed at our La Cantera office.

I want to have a unified site for all three divisions under the Chu Dental Group name. We eventually will sell off the La Cantera division so we want to make sure we maintain our good ratings and want to keep the good reviews from the La Cantera office once we move out.

Can this be accomplished so that we can keep our google and yelp reviews under Chu Dental Group. And what are your recommendations on how to set up the website for the time being looking towards the future.

Dr called me back, extremely nice. Got my emails and vm but apologized cause he’s been quite busy.

He is shopping around looking to do a new website. He said he’s in a unique situation, has 2 sites (1 is group).. didn’t go into details yet. Dr stated towards the end that he wants to make sure he talks to me in the future cause he feels comfortable with me so far and the suggestions I’ve made. Dr will email me and wants to get my feedback on how to approach it.

Dr stated that he doesn’t mind templates/custom design cause they look the same but pointed out to him the value of our quality of work. Told him that $1,000 to $2,000 difference will def get him more visitor conversion which will more than pay for itself after 1-2 months. Also he has ownership/exclusivity which he does not with template-based. Also pointed out to him all other disadvantages which made him change his mind and agree.

I assured him that I will be available to him in the future like i do for all of my clients which he can see in our G+ review mentioning my name alot.

Dr stated that he will need to call TNT back but is swayed towards going with us now. I will send him the contract to fax or sign and dr will respond with his situation for me to give him logistic feedbacks. VERY HOT LEAD
