Again, I apologize that I put this on the backburner. I feel really bad about forgetting to follow up regarding this.

There are thousands of things that can be done to optimize your website. No site is perfect and there are some items on this list that we can address.
Optimizing your website is a never-ending project. After the site is live, there are a lot of things you can do to promote the site and improve its ranking. Your options range from on-going SEO to Adwords and to Blogging. An example of on-going SEO is writing content and submitting it to other sites, or, promoting the site on social media so you get more reference to your site. Some of these efforts may affect the number of links to your site. These type of services are usually categorized under on-going SEO or off-site SEO. What is currently included in your package/website is On-Site SEO (Optimization of tags, code, Google Sitemap, Analytics, and Submission), but there are additional options available through our Impact Marketing options, such as a Google adwords campaign, Social Media Marketing and Blogging. I can have our Marketing Manager give you a call to go over some of these options if you’d like?

Please find below some of the issues I have addressed:

1. Broken links – I have located and updated these links
2. Duplicate content/Thin Content – Google recognizes that educational content will eventually be reused (there’s only so many different ways one can describe any given dental procedure) but a good approach would be to update content to briefly add you or your practices particular approach in administering a given procedure.
3. Image Alt Tags – Yes these are considered but do not play a significant role in ranking – I feel this was added as it is an easy category to cite as well as put a number on something “missing”
4. Meta Descriptions – Again I feel that this was included as it is easy to cite and tie a number to it. Though they do play a role in ranking, they’re not as important as this analysis is trying to make you believe. Here is an article by Google themselves written in 2009 that they were downsizing/discontinuing the role that these tags play in ranking.
5. Redirect Loops – This was addressed and was temporary as it was redirecting an old page title from your previous site to this new one.
6. HTTPS – This is something fairly recent and Google has been implementing through their browser google Chrome in trying to make the internet a safer place. They are implementing this by advertising a “Not Secure” excerpt in the URL section of your website. Some sites are even being prompted to a temporary page that makes the visitor confirm that they are entering a site that has been SSL certified. I can assure you that the site we created for you is secure, but the SSL certification being implemented by Google adds another layer of encryption for further security. We do offer a solution by providing SSL certification at an additional price. Please let me know if you would like further information regarding this.

Sorry, I overlooked the part regarding changing the image of the elderly couple in the slideshow, and will have that implemented within the next couple of days.

Also, if I can receive your input regarding cropping the staff image on the home page. (If cropped the area containing the text will become smaller which, wont be able to fit the current text)

Possible solutions:
1. Have image free floating next to text in grey area (text/image area would remain around the same size as it currently is)
2. Abridge the text so that it fits in the new smaller area

Did you want me to migrate the content from your old site to your new site?

Regarding content on the Current Promotions page; was this a 3rd party resource you were using? I think I recall you mentioning that the expiration dates update themselves? If not, I can replicate this page and update it with promotions provided by you.

Similar situation regarding the “Appointment Request” page; I can replicate a form to be made for this page that would forward the information input into the form to any specified email. I just wanted to make sure whether you wanted to keep this current form, just in case it was feeding into a set system that you already have.

Regarding the decision on which version of the logo to use, this can be easily changed in the development stage.
If you have any major changes to the design, please let us know. Other than that, your design has been submitted to our development team. Here is another design draft covering the items we had previously gone over:

1. Updated logo

2. Add Promotions tab as well as making the promotions section a slider

3. Make picture area for “Meet the Doc” larger

4. “Add Share Study Club” for associations (I couldn’t find a specific logo regarding this and didn’t want to input a generic one – Did you have the specific logo regarding this or can you send a screen shot of what it looks like?)

5. Add Scroll Effect for Reviews section

6. Make Map Larger

7. Make all CTA buttons with rounded edges
