I hope you had a Happy Thanksgiving! In regards to our previous conversation about the ownership of your website, I got it approved to grant you full ownership. If you are planning on hosting the website elsewhere, we can give you access to the website files and send you a copy. Once we give you access to the website files, an IT will need to set everything up on your end.

Please also note that you still have full ownership of your domain since it is hosted in your own Godaddy account.

OWNERSHIP
I emailed a copy of the original proposal, which does not include ownership. He said he was never told he would not have ownership of his website, and I told him he could purchase ownership for $1499. He thinks that is absolutely ridiculous and may want to get a lawyer involved. I advised that it’s a custom design that we created.

MARKETING
Dr. Gordon says his “website does not show up”. I told him when I searched “wendell gordon dds” he is on the first page, and when I searched “dentist Clear Lake, TX” he is on the 3rd page. I advised that it takes time for a website to show up on the first page and it also depends on the traffic of his website. We have already included many keywords on his website as well. I proposed IMPACT marketing, in which, he thought it was way overpriced. I emphasized that marketing now days is very competitive & heavy, and I was about to mention that it would be more costly for him to hire an internal marketing person (but he was more so frustrated with the ownership situation). He asked if it would help to visit the site every day and I encouraged him to ask his friends & family to vist the site, that way Google will see the popularity & traffic increasing. I also told him that he went live only 1 month ago, so it will take time for him to see results. He wants to wait a few more weeks to see if it improves and if not, will revisit the idea of purchasing IMPACT marketing.

Told him I would speak with Belinda & Danny regarding ownership.

Dr. Gordon asked for me to call back a few times because he was preparing for a hurricane. I asked if he wanted to reschedule and he insisted not to.

Finally spoke to him on the 3rd try and sent him some website examples based on the DQ.

– Dr been in practice for over 26 years, business is really slow, was deciding if he should sell his practice or put effort in rebranding his site giving it a chance.

– dr is very old-school. Focus on his experience and personalize the site (less stock)
– Focus on “Clear Lake, TX” for SEO (it’s part of Houston) for better chance of ranking
– he focuses a lot of EMERGENCIES, SEDATION, and 24/7 which is unique

Called Dr today again per his request yest.

Dr was at home. Dr still on the fence cause its a lot of money and was wondering why its $79 cause he’s paying $39. Gave him all the features that comes with it as far as support in the future.

Advise dr to put photos on site which he agrees and will get them to us in the future. Assured dr of the entire process being streamlined and reminded him of the importance of the site.

Dr stated that he will talk to his staff next mOnday and for me to call him at 9:30am PST to possibly finalize cause dr mentioned he should get on top of it and start. Got drs email to email him my contact and proposal.

Spoke to Dr yesterday, was inquiring in our website makeover. Dr was very old and been in practice for over 35 years and stated that he’s on the verge of either closing his practice or make some change to keep up depending on the cost.

Dr was on a very limited budget, currently paying $39/m right now for his site for hosting only.

Gave dr overview of what we do and how we can help. Gave him advice on a lot of issues with his site which he agreed.

Spent 20 mins over the phone with him to convince him to do this. Dr stated he will talk to his staff tomorrow and to give him a call same time: 2:30pm pst.
