Full Bio:

Dr Leon Su was born in Taiwan and grew up in Orange County, California. He obtained his undergraduate degree from the University of California, Berkeley and then worked in the high-tech field as an engineer. He went on to receive his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) from New York University, where he graduated amongst the top of his class, and was in the Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honor Society.

Dr. Su received his postgraduate certificate in orthodontics from Rutgers University and went through the rigorous process of becoming a Board Certified Orthodontist (One in three Orthodontists in the US is board certified.) He is an active member of the American Board of Orthodontists, American Association of Orthodontists, the American Dental Association, and the Middle Atlantic Society of Orthodontists.

As a past president of the Chinese Student Dental Association, he organized multiple sessions to tutor new dental students and actively organized community service projects to help the underserved. He was also involved in Oral-Facial pain research funded by the National Institute of Health (NIH).

Leon is a firm in believer in treating all people with respect and care. He is a meticulous and skillful practitioner who always has the best interests of his patients at heart. He especially enjoys treating children and watching them transform into confident, young adults.

Dr. Su and his wife Yvonne are inseparable. Their greatest treasure is their baby daughter Adeline, they enjoy documenting every moment of her and give her all of the love in this world.

I can definitely have a temporary website set up. Through public records, I can see that you had registered the domain with google. Can you provide me the login credentials to the gmail account that the domain was set up with so I can update the appropriate settings to enable the temporary site? If you are comfortable making the update yourself, here is a link to instructions on how to do so. It would be the first step, “Record Set”, which would be changed through the edit button to: 52.2.180.68

I have attached an updated draft with the original profile picture, to make the image look more authentic.

Also, Dr. Su, as we’ere mainly adjusting images (images and text can be changed at any time) and not the framework or colors, to move the process forward, I’d advise we move into the development stage so that we can begin fine-tuning the content within your website.

As we have discussed over the phone, I think having my figure cropped out doesn’t look good. We use the same picture but use the original photo instead of having the office as the background?

Also, right now my website www.mysmilemore.com shows an error when you go there in the browser. I really want to have something there right now while we are working on this. Unless we can get this front page up and running by the end of this month, I really want a “Under Construction” notice posted there with our phone number on it, so patient wouldn’t hit a dead end when trying to go to the site. Can that be done?

Dr. didnt receive last email with latest design draft – He mentioned that the new image looked like a cutout – *** Maybe just use the original image w background (it will be dark and take away from the design)

Advised him that weshould go into development soon if we are to have site up by end of month as development takes a bout a week and a half to complete – Also advised in development stage we will have clearer view of how content is laid out

Hi Charles, it looks good. I’m wondering if it’s a good idea to put the phone number on the contact us button so that the number is immediately there for them the see. Let me know what you think

Response:

I think it wouldn’t look very good on the button itself. I can include your phone number next to the hamburger menu so that visitors have quick access or include a call to action with the phone number under the “Lead your LIfe with a Smile” text. Reason being, the contact us button should lead your visitors to a more comprehensive page listing all of your relevant contact information, giving them an option on how to contact you.

I can include examples of this in the next couple rafts if you’d like? Again this may have to wait until Monday or Tuesday as I won’t be in the office for the next couple of days.

Attached is the Design with 5 buttons included.

I was thinking, on the desktop version, the “Contact Us” button will direct to your Contact page from the desktop version. While on the Mobile version, the button will prompt to call your practice phone number. Or I could include the Phone Number next to the Hamburger menu button as well so it’s easily accessible to visitors to your website.

Submitted 4 drafts to Dr. Su’s specifications for minor tweaks he wanted to see for hero area layout.

Hi Charles,

After reviewing it with my wife who deals a lot with design, we decided to get rid of the “Orthodontics” word, because it seems too cluttered, and those who goes to the website will know it’s an orthodontic website. We also want to get rid of the header bar with all the links because we think that by getting rid of it will make the whole front page space much more clean. Please see attached .BMP to see how it feels. We would also like to put the “Lead your life with a smile” lower so it doesn’t block the girl’s smile. Having seen this, can you make a few drafts to this layout and see if it will be even better?

Draft 1: Eliminate the upper white area by extending the smile photo all the way to the top. I would like to preserve the position of the 3 smile people relative to the logo, can you uncrop the top and show their entire heads?

Draft 2: Leave the blank part

Draft 3: Same as Draft 1, but put the “Lead your life with a smile” on the top.

Since we are experimenting with eliminating the header bar, I want to make 5 buttons on the bottom, and also make some changes to it.

Would like to see:

– Orthdodontics is in top white area “teal outline”
– Larger Logo
– Logo in footer area (italicized version) to plan for the navbar sticking to the top and the logo going away
– Mentioned maybe even orange service buttons turning into outlines or different color when client hover over.

Overall he likes the design had some minor changes and requests.

Edit Requests:

Preferred Draft II with the boxes/icons separated from the Hero image
– He wants to see a version where the boxes are Orange/icons white and another with Icons Orange

– He stated he is having professional images taken of himself and we’ll eventually be changing the image he has in the “Meet the Doctor” section.
– In the “Meet the Doctor” section he requested that the wording be condensed to personal highlights about himself “Dad, enjoys – activity-, some educational achievements – Something short and sweet to entice readers to read more about him

– Also wanted information updated at the bottom – he will provide the updated information – also advised him that images and text can be changed at any time.

Advised him to:

– keep the testimonials page so that when he does get some testimonials we input them in place of the generic ones.

– keep the log in its place and to not move “Orthodontics” up into the white area as it will separate it from the rest of the logo –

– He also asked about functionality and what would happen when we clicked on the box icons – explained that this would all be taken care of in the “Development” phase.

I included 2 design drafts attached. One of which I changed the color of the icon buttons and moved them off of the main image. I felt it may bee too busy in that area after enlarging the logo. I also lightened the colors and made them a touch brighter. I included the footer section with the requested elements.
I can replace the testimonials section with something else if you’d like, or remove it all together?

Overall Feel:

– Warm/Clean/Comforting – Inviting appealing to ages adolescence/teens (majority of clientele are children/teens) also accessible/appealing to Parents and adult patients.
