Dr called earlier today, lm for me on my vm asking me if i can call him back. he just wants to discuss the progress of the proejct which is taking a bit longer than expected and that things are lagging, missing the points on the revisions he’s sending over.

Called dr about an hour later (was waiting on desirae to give me a heads up where they are at with the project and/or if there are any issues that I am aware of, see Desirae’s response in the post below).

Called dr, was extremely nice and polite. He was appreciative of the call back and started off by saying that he did get an email response from Desirae earlier after he left a message for me with an update and also Desirae’s suggestion to just go live and the content being worked on can be not accessible to the public yet which he thought was a good idea. He said that he’s not complaining about Desirae cause she did a great job with the design cause a lot of his family had complimented the work. His issue is the attention to detail which he expected from a designer’s perspective, for example, he mentioned that the FAQ page was setup but when he saw it, the alignment of the text was centered and the uniformity of the font size was different from other pages. Things like this he feels he shouldn’t need to point it out if she had looked at it before sending it over to him that it was completed.

Overall, Dr mentioned that he’s probably just stress and that he’s nick picking and wanted to get this project done. Dr was concern in the future for simple updates, that it will take long like this which I assured him it won’t depending on the changes but usual turn-around time is 1-2 days. For the custom content, like desirae had mentioned, it will take time compared to other revisions he had requested in the past. Dr understands and overall is happy with everything.

At this point, just needs to make sure we review before just sending updates to him cause he feels its just being done (rushed).

Dr called, lm for me on my vm. Stated that he wants to speak to me regarding the project. Projects taking longer than expected ( a few months now), feels like he has to explain everything (details). wants to get the site launch sooner than later.

“Hi Dr. Harkrider,

It is a new Google Chrome requirement that they just introduced (Oct 1st). First, let me assure you that there is nothing to worry about. There is an easy fix to this and we will go over it in a minute. Google wants all the forms on the internet to be encrypted. This has been a requirement for banks and hospitals, but now, Google wants even a simple contact form on websites to be encrypted. Since we are ahead of the curve, our forms have always been encrypted, but it seems that Google wants the whole site where the form is to be encrypted now (HTTPS and SSL). So, starting today, we offer a new security package that encrypts all communication on your site and will take care of this issue.

I will have your account manager, Danny, contact you with further information. He has also been included on this email.

We love the colors and overall layout. Definitely the feel and look we are going for in a website and office. You nailed the Spanish and Texas Hill Country vibe!

The most important addition is Adam’s name. It needs to be one of the first things you see when loading the website and I don’t see his full name at all.

Perhaps at the top in the vicinity of the logo is? Love the logo in black across the top so definitely don’t want to mess that up. But his name needs to be there.

The jpg is an example of what the homepage will look like, correct? Adam and I looked at it together and took a few notes and I listed them below. Not sure if this is what you need at this point but I thought I’d go ahead and write it out…

1) We want the full logo somewhere on the main page. I love what y’all did at the top with just the HE but would like the full logo in the Welcome to Harkrider Endodontics section. I attached it again below.

2) We don’t want testimonials on the main homepage.

3) We want the “Dental Videos” to be a housed under the “New Patient” tab and not on the homepage.

4) There are two AAE logos. The AAE logo on the left is correct. The other one should be ABE (American Board of Endodontics) and I’d like it listed first as becoming board certified is an accomplishment and sets Adam apart from the “competition” in the area.

7/21 – “Hi Danny,

We unfortunately have already paid for a logo design. We are trying to keep costs down as everything is adding up very quickly. I suppose it best for us to complete working with the design team on the logo and then perhaps proceed with the website when it is complete? We have a logo we like, it just needs something extra and we aren’t quite sure how to get it there…

Shelley called in. EXTREMELY NICE. Husband opening a new practice in October. Has a logo being worked on. Was on our site briefly and is shopping around. Just wants something simple for patients primiarly from other referring offices (GP). pointed out to her to target emergency patients as well which she agrees and also told her we will target those nearby citys since she is out in the country side but outside of San Antonio (about 30 mins away).

Went over the Silver (discounted rate) cause she seem like she was ok with Templates which I had pointed out the diff bt others and our silver package.

IF ORDER SILVER, will go with interview and us create vs having her select.

I threw it out there our Gold Package as well. MAYBE interested but not sure. Gave her the advantage of it.

Domain name, she believes her husband purchased already for 5 years for $100 but not too sure, we may need to register for her. Went over hosting and how it works as well too and the benefit of us vs herself in the future or even how others host their site.. went into technical aspects on the benefit of our hosting as well. She kinda gets the gist of it.

She gave me her email address to send info over and will be in touch. Extremely nice, f/u in a few days.
