They really want the personalized touch of their patient cases/images to be front and center on the design. Make the slider a slideshow with each case having inspirational words over the image. Irma will be sending over the images and words.

The website needs to be used for marketing, create a unique look and feeling for the site. They want to cater towards a newer audience, the children of their older patients. It should feel like it all flows together. It also needs to be easy to navigate and use as there are still senior patients.

Dr. Schweitzer likes is the original design. Maybe try going off this and modernizing/improving upon this.

Make a note about the images being actual patients.

Testimonials need to have a big presence.

Focus on cosmetics and family dental.

They love the colors from the original site and the 3D look of the logo. Keep the colors the same. They like the colors fom their office.

I agree that your current design is not my best work, due to the limitations I felt I was under in providing you a design similar to Bates Dental. This was my misunderstanding. From this point on, we are starting fresh. I want to work hard to provide you with a new unique design that captures the feeling, atmosphere of your office as well as how you treat patients.

Please feel free, to be honest with me regarding our future drafts as I want you to have a design you are proud to have online. A unique, engaging and eye-catching design benefits you as well as me. I will offer more of my design opinion and showcase my skills as a designer and art director. Your feedback is very valuable and I will use it in conjecture with providing you with a website design you will love.

Spoke to Irma per our scheduled call. Client had an issue with the project due to the fact that they felt Jessica was just doing what dr had told her when he showed her references (which is the whole point!). I had told Irma that that is what we do and reason for the design process of feedbacks and approval before development.

I told her that this is the whole point of what we do vs just randomly do things. Told her that we have clients in the past where we add our taste/flavor in addition to the direction they gave our designer but they get upset. With them, I told her I understand what they mean and that if that’s what they want, then we will approach it that way. She showed me an example of PBHS design which had a video background (stock), i told her that this is quite specific and was this conveyed to jessica? she said no. but even so, it seems even if they showed her this video, based on what they are saying, they expect us to add “creativity” to their video? and in addition it seems they think we can convert their image so it is a video feature. They seem undecisive and even if we prep ourselves with restarting the project, we may have to tread carefully. At this point, she will see if Dr just wants to cancel or restart but with a different designer. We have to manage their expectation better and make sure they are on the same page before we go from stage to stage. She was very nice and friendly and seems to now understand what i had pointed out to her. She will talk to dr to see what he wants to do and dr may want to have a call with me. For now, put project on hold. she will get back to me within the next 2 days.

I had to explain to Irma that she can see one effect at a time, it will take a bit of time in between changes but we can apply/try out different scroll effects for the website if she would like but cannot develop several different sites so that she can see the effect.
