As you can see, Andrew is not CC’ED in that email because he will no longer work for me. I apologize for any offensive email he sent before as it all came out of our frustration that we had during that process. I don’t fully understand the technicality of the process and that’s why I pay thousands of dollars to professionals like you to to handle this for me. You all understands where I am coming from. I may have been deceived with Andrew’s knowledge of WP and may be that was the cause of all that headache and misery I have been through. I wont even tell you how many times the website crashed last few weeks. But I alSo didn’t get the “optimized” service that you Danny promised when I first signed up in terms of SEO. You would not let Andrew into the editor either to do SEO (which was probably a good idea!). if you look at the site now, I am ranked in top 10 first page in google and page speed went up to almost 50 from 18. I asked too many times to fix speed and add titles and images attribute but nothing was done for me. I am afraid that the website now would only work properly on your platform which I am ok with if its set up properly,but my experience with you doesn’t say that. I feel like I am lost in space now and don’t know what to do. I am afraid that if any one would touch the site in the new hosting that it would mess things again.

If the site would only work properly on your platform please and honestly let me know this way we can redirect it back to your server because I am done with this game. would that move affect the ranking and speed again?

I apologize for taking so long to respond to you. Unfortunately, Danny has taken a leave of absence due to personal reasons, but I wanted to address your concerns. I’ve also included my Marketing Director that will be able to answer additional SEO/Marketing questions we might have.

You also mentioned about a refund request; is this in regards to your marketing? Please let me know.

To address your previous email:

I understand that at times things can be frustrating as you’re working between two different sources. We are in the same position as you; in between you and Andrew/marketing company.

As far as a basic website, page speeds that average 50/60 are considered acceptable. If you take a look at big name sites such as apple.com, google.com/analytics, cnn.com, they all average about 40-50 but still have success. Granted they are big name companies that can afford additional marketing; if you test other dental websites that have the capability that your website does, I’m sure you’ll receive 40-60. There a million things that you can do to a website to get a score of 80-90 such as remove coding (CSS, javascript), images, graphics. This will surely grant you a better score, but your page speed score is only a fraction of your total ranking. It’s whether you want to allocate your marketing budget towards that page speed score or on other items such as blogging, content management, offsite SEO, PPC and more. I’m sure as a dentist, you will hardly have the time to manage these minute details and understand coding, this is why we’re here to help you. What we’re suggesting is a result of over 10 years of statistics and even experience with our own website.

Also, as you know, because some of the scripts/coding were removed from your site with Andrew, that was why the page speed was up, but the site was lacking function as well.

If we would like to redirect the site back to us, we can definitely do so.

Please migrate the site to a single install. Can you try to use this method? Dr. F review it and was okay if we use it (if it’s easier)

Let’s keep it professional, please. I’ve been working with WordPress sites for nearly 10 years now. I had several for the three dental practices and medical spa I owned prior to selling them and going into consulting.

Thank you for finally offering some help. However, to be frank, these issues have nothing to do with my knowledge of WordPress. If Danny had simply provided me root or access to the public html folder on your hosting – as I requested several times – as opposed to using an import/export plugin tool that is well known amongst the WordPress community to malfunction heavily at the least than an absolute ton of my and Dr. Borham‘s time would not have been wasted over the last week. Moreover, if *I* don’t know WordPress than neither do the WordPress experts at InMotion Hosting because even they said that the database was a complete mess and that the export files we were given were undoubtedly the source of our problems upon migration. I️ think you’d agree that a well-regarded malfunctioning plug-in is no substitute for the actual server files, no?

And as much as I’d like to keep it professional, I’d just like to say that I really don’t appreciate your response, especially given the successful career I’ve had and due to the fact that your firm essentially stole from my client by charging him, what – $750 – to perform SEO work that was literally never even started on. I’ll spare you any diatribe on the ridiculous hosting charges, however. Either way, Dr. Borham deserves better and he deserves results and the latter is simply what I’m trying to deliver for him. As a matter of fact, he’s already up to #4 on page 1 of Google’s organic results for “dentist las cruces”, which shows just how effective I am with WordPress and that’s barely a week since finally getting the majority of the kinks in his site worked out. So please, spare me any future negative intonation, ok? We’re both here to help clients.

So, thanks for the tip, it is appreciated. Some advice though, if we are to work anymore together in the future on this mutual client’s project then perhaps it would behoove you to take a more helpful approach and tone as opposed to that of your previous email. I’d hate for your poor choice of words and terse rhetoric to reflect any more poorly on your company than the actions of some of your colleagues already have.

One more thing, look a few lines below the sample you included. The original stylesheets have been commented-out in favor of consolidating/minifying then in order to improve page speed. You gave Dr. B a site that scored 19/100 on Google’s page speed test. We’re not up to 48/100 at least after cleaning up your code.

Also, if you’d like to see the right report on how bloated much of it is then I’d be happy to send it to you but suffice it to say, there’s not much good for SEO at least I’m having several H1 and H2 tags or FIVE H3 tags. But, you did at least create a beautiful site for him. My goal is to make sure people can actually find it now.

Spoke to Andrew per our scheduled call. Very nice guy, very talkative (can tell based on his long emails prior to call).

His goal is to access the WP to do SEO work and also PPC work for the dr. He completely understands from my original comment /email to him and dr the reason why we do not allow admin access cause of company policy and he is aware how things can be messed up.

I had told him that I undrestand what his intents are and the reason why he’s reaching out to me cause of my constant communication with Dr. Borham after the site was launched to do marketing (ppc/seo). We had started ppc/seo the last 2 months but dr had high expectations although i had repeated gone over with dr prior to the start of marketing and during the marketing.

He loves our website and was on the same page with how we look at web + marketing and the function of each that many drs don’t understand.

Overall, I had suggested since dr owns the site that he should just take over the hosting himself so he can do what he needs to do with the ppc and seo. (I suggested to push this away cause it is difficult to manage his expectations). He was very surprised that i had suggested this bc that s ideally what he wants to do but had difficult time in the past with other clients which is why he sent those long emails approaching me like i was like those other companies he had issues with.

He said that he would love to refer clients to us for the website cause he sees the value in our work and has clients that doesn’t understand the importance of the website.

I told him if he can, talk to the dr & let dr know that we have agreed to do this in his best interest. he said he will definitely put in good words so dr doesn’t get the impression we didn’t do our job (marketing) so he understands this is the best route to go since this is the main purpose andrew is reaching out to me in the first place cause dr explored him prior to this.

I told him to tlak to dr to see what he wants to do. Either pause the marketing 1st, then migrate or the other way around in that order. He will send dr an email cc’ing me regarding our discussion now and stated he will send a separate “text” privately to dr regarding OPT360 (good words).

Andrew called, lm for me early this morning. Called him back,lm for him. His email to me below sent last Friday afternoon:

I’ve copied your conversation with Wael below so I will spare you a long introduction other than to note I am an independent dental consultant who recently sold several practices and a medical spa I owned. Prior to that I worked in M&As after finishing my MBA. I work with clients across a broad array of initiatives from marketing to practice management, acquisition integration, etc.

Wael has hired me to essentially plan and execute a comprehensive marketing campaign for MVFD which includes initiatives in SEO, AdWords and Facebook ads. The goal is obviously toboost new patient flow through entry into and increased competitiveness within these channels.

I think that Optimized 360 has delivered a fantastic site to Wael in appearance, form and functionality and therefore I have no doubt that if we can simply increase traffic there, it will do its job in consistently converting visitors into new patients. Respectfully, however, Wael informed me that he hired your organization for SEO yet neither he nor I have seen much evidence that any project work has been performed either on-page or off whereas many of even the most basics of initiatives are missing.

Now, that’s none of my business and having employed over 40 people myself at one time, I understand that it can be difficult to marshall resrouces and execute project plans; hence the reason I work solo now. So, that’s between you and Wael. My only goal is to see him achieve the success he desires going forward and after studying his market extensively, I believe there is a decent-sized gap In the aforementioned channels where we can make a splash and overtake the competition.

However, the unfortunate reality here is that my job primarily in the SEO realm yet also within AdWords to an extent is going to be impossible to perform without at least access to plugins (which I avoid using at all costs) and moreover, without access to the web root and theme. Since you’re undoubtedly very knowledgeable, I’ll spare you a list of all the initiatives I’m unable to perform within the present state of access, but it’s obviously a very many.

So, I am hopeful that we can reach an agreement that I be allowed to have full admin access within his WordPress dashboard and to the hosting as well. I understand that you may have had trouble with other third party vendors in the past, but I did all my own marketing work for my practices and med-spa over eight years, have been consulting for nearly two years now having served over 35 clients and am proficient in writing HTML5, PHP, Python and Perl to name a few languages. During this time, I have yet to wreck a theme and am always extremely cautious, diligent and conservative in my work. I am very respectful of the web designer-marketing relationship and the last thing I would ever do is modify the aesthetics of functionality of a site without one’s aid or blessing at the least.

Please let me know how you feel about this situation whereas I would like to resolve it quickly and work in harmony with you. However, if that’s not an option then I suppose I’ll have to discuss migrating the site with Wael to a new host so we can perform the work that needs to be done. Obviously, I’d like to avoid that option at all costs because no one wins, and please don’t take it as a threat, but I am very big on putting my clients’ best interests first and will simply do what has to be done for them. I am hopeful, however, that we can work together.

Re SEO, I was thinking all aspects of page set up will be taken care off, but I find my self having to get SEO reports and finding errors that need to be fixed which I believe should be basics in terms of page set up. Page speed is very poor with no action taken. Ranking dropping to #22 going to third page with no signs of improvement. I understand that SEO takes time but if set up properly and going upward not downward.

Re AdWords, If its being set up to manual bidding then it needs manual bidding frequently which was not the case. Otherwise it just need to be set to automatic if there is no frequent monitoring for the campaign to adjust bidding. I am always ranked third or fourth during peak hours which takes me to second page.

With regards to the example of your competitor, there can be a lot of factors involved for them compared to yours. They may have started the SEO months or years ago vs in your scenario, its only been about a month which as you are aware, it’s a gradual process that takes time.

Also, let me know exactly what search term you are using that you see their result showing so I can look further into what you see and give you my assessment. Every keyword typed in will give different results. Also, other factors are where you are physically searching from and also the location setting on either your phone or your browser which plays a factor in results.

Had a scheduled call with dr. borham, just wanted to get an overview of what SEO work we’ll be doing and if he needs to do anything as far as optimizing specific keywords within his site. Told dr that the content for his services are written with SEO purpose and our SEO team doing the Advnced SEO will or have made adjsutments needed. Most of the work is done off-site which I had sent dr link to our SEO to see what is in off-site that is gradual work.

Dr did mention that the keyword “female dentist” is showing #1 already per his request last week which we have done to separate the bio and now that dr’s bio is showing, already indexed.

Client is having trouble seeing the “enable visual builder” feature once clicked on. It is just showing the loading circle and does not fully load. This has happened to a few other websites as well (all Surge).

We are able to see the visual builder work properly when logged in as admin/super-admin, however, it just shows the loading circle when logged in as editor.

Had a long phone conference with Dr. Borham regarding ppc/seo. Dr currently doing PPC at about $500/m for the past year.

We will work on the PPC under his account at $99/m mgmt but only when the custom content is done which are pending right now.

Had advised Dr to go with more than just that budget which is only 10 hours. Dr just wants to start on Advanced SEO at $250/m. He is currently bottom of page 2. Dr stated that he was middle of page 2 but now dropped since it went live. Told dr his site is not even indexed yet so its not possible for him to drop to bottom due to the site launch.
