She had a misunderstanding of what her IT person needed to do marketing for her website, which she and her IT personnel had asked for the website files (email from Sameh recorded as a note) This morning Dr. Kharbouch had expressed that she wants her IT person to do Marketing for her and admitted that she doesnt know what kind of access to the website is needed. I let her know that he doesnt need complete access to the website and anything he would like us to include on the back end he can provide us with, which we can then implement.

She prefers having somebody on site whom she can talk to in person and reiterated that she has the right to do marketing with whomever she pleases, I agreed and let her know that if it doesn’t work out that we can provide these services too.

She expressed that she doesnt want to cancel our services (had mentioned “lets forget about migrating files and moving hosting”) but wanted to do marketing with the personnel of her choosing.

Dr. let me know that Sameh would be contacting me regarding what he needs to implement Marketing.

Regarding Website Design ownership and providing you with the necessary files: I see in your account notes that the product you had ordered was from our pre-populated system and doesn’t include design ownership. (Danny had clarified this during the initial sale, that design ownership would come at an additional cost).

May I ask why you are considering to discontinue using our services? Are you planning a move? May I ask why and to whom?

If it was mainly about cost, I would like to go over what our monthly service plan covers and what you would be losing, because you may not realize it, but it is not just hosting. Sometimes our clients are under the impression that our monthly fee is a hosting fee and when compared with others may seem higher. But, our monthly fee covers much more than that. Hosting is just a small part of it. Below is the list of what you get under our service plan. It is important to note that if you were to purchase all these services from even a discounted provider like GoDaddy, you would have to pay almost three times our fee.

Also, I would like to share the experience of some of our clients who did this and later came back to us. When you move from a company to an individual, you risk a lot. If the relationship between you and that individual becomes problematic, a lot can go wrong. At that time, your website may not even be standard anymore.

Had a long marketing call with dr to give her marketing options. Seems to know about PPC and SEO. Suggested to do PPC and SEO at $500/m (+ $99/m mgmt fee) and $250//m respectively

Dr understands that there is no guarantee and to do at least 3 months for pPC and commit to at least 6 months for SEO.

OVerall dr is very interested but wants to give her prev web guy to do it first cause he owes her $1,400 from the incomplete project. Advised her to make sure she maximize on it by accessing the ppc campaign and using her cc on file vs the other setup where they don’t allow access and/or use her cc but instead theirs.

Sent a duplicate of the email I had sent her on Friday which she did receive it the latest email. Spoke with her and she didnt like the template design saying it looks like any other website. She was upset that we didnt give her a Massih duplicate and the lack of communication. Spoke with her for the 2nd time today letting her know that Danny and the lead designer approved to go ahead with duplicating the Massih design. I told Dr. Amal I will be sending her a preliminary design today so she can visualize what the website will look like with her images and that I wont be switching out most of the content – reason being is to ensure that this is indeed what she wants before moving forward and migrating the content.

Dr. called and left a message for me to follow up on the status of the project. She was very nice in the message stating there is no rush but just wanted to see where we are at. I am assuming she didn’t get your “web is ready” email sent last week. Please call her and let her know i got her message and that I’ve asked you to call her back with an update. Also figure out why she didn’t get your email.

Create temp site and begin Emigrating content from her old site to new site.

Dr. Amal gave me phone # of previous designer to get site content from. Waiting on his return call or email.

I tried to convince her to go with an Optizign Design but she was adamant about Massihs site. She really liked the custom look; “Other Designs (in Optizign) looked like a newspaper”. Navigated her to Jay design as its more visual and that we can simplify even more by removing sections. She was fixated on the Custom buttons in Massih Design as well as custom background.

She wants something visual and more modern and simple. Said she trusted us with design decision – even though I told her well go with Massih I’m proceeding with an optizign design (if she asks, we contacted Dr. Massih and who is invoking her right to having an exclusive design) because I feel she may be disappointed by the lack of imagery used in Massih design (Solution to this would be to include images in page content area as a slide show or portfolio)
