We r a different seafood company. What it means: we r specialize in seafood related to sushi consumption. Like fresh Salmon, tuna, wahoo and escolar etc. So the platter with those cooked seafood is not suitable here. I would prefer raw cut loin or whole fish, like hilo fish.

– Jay (super nice) – a bit of an accent, difficult to understand.
– He doesn’t know much and seems to have low expectations on design cause he really likes his competitor’s site: http://www.hilofish.com/ – i told him that it is out-dated and we can definitely do much better.
– sent him questionnaire already. f/u with him if he hasn’t filled it out in a few days or scheduled appt yet. He may not understand that part of the process. We will need to be proactive with this client as far as suggestion and guidance. He will listen.

– will be promoting the foods on his site to other vendors BUT NO SHOPPING CART or PAYMENT. He does not need that.
– one of the main features he needs is a cloud-based area that he can update temperatures each day and have records of it for regulatory purpose. This is later on which I told him we will show him how to use Google Drive (excel) where he can access to update it each day himself. We will need a section on his site for him and his staff to access easily, not that visible to public. (Create a page within the site with an exact extension for “employees”? Maybe talk to me regarding this later on when site is developed).
– if client brings this up during design interview, tell him that this is after site is developed and danny will coordinate with him and the designer.

Jay called. Asked to discount if he made 1-time payment. told him best i can do is $3200.

Question about forms again which I told him Google Docs is the way to go since he needs access to update “temp” each day and share with others. He is currently using Amazon for this service. Told him to send me the forms, he said there are 5 so I can take a look to get a better idea what he’s trying to do.

Sent him updated proposal to review and waiting on him to respond with those forms.

Client called in. Looking to redo his website which is Food that he advertises. He does not need shopping cart just basically “recipes” and “products” that he has so people can call to order. Wants site to be more simplistic… showed me his competitors hilofish.com that he likes which is crappy.

Also wants to have some accessible form that he can put in data for daily temp that he will access to add every day as an audit if in the future, a food inspector needs the record. Told him a solution is to use Google Drive (excel), he liked that idea.

Also suggested Google translator since he has Chinese, Spanish and other visitors visiting his site cause i saw chinese translation of certain products. He liked that suggestion as well.

He asked if he can host on his own cause he’s paying minimal with Google right now… told him with this package he owns it so he can do so anytime.

Was interested but iffy on pricing cause he asked for best deal. Told him it is the end of the month and if he’s serious, I can send him a proposal with a competitive rate. Didn’t tell him but will send this. Told him he has to make a decision by end of the month. He is aware.

Very nice and friendly. Sent proposal to fax or electronically sign.
