1. Biography:

Facts about me: I grew up in the town of Lima in NW Ohio. I attended The Ohio State University for undergrad and The OSU College of Dentistry for dental school. I graduated from dental school in 2006. My wife Marcie is also a dentist and graduated in the same class. I worked for a few years in Ohio while she pursued a specialty degree in pediatric dentistry. We moved to Longmont in 2009, practiced for a few years and then Marcie purchased a practice in Albuquerque in 2013 so we moved again. We missed our family in Denver so I purchased my practice and we returned in 2016–hopefully our last move!! We have four children–3 sons (14,11,9) and 1 daughter (6). The kids keep us very busy with four soccer schedules, but when we have spare time we like to go hiking in the summer and skiing in the winter.

2. Office Mission:

Key facts about the office: the best way to describe this to you is to simply have you read the content on another local office’s website. Please go to www.denverfamilydentistry.com—has a similarly sized office and philosophy to mine.

We pride ourselves on the fact that we are a small, low volume office. A large majority of our patients have been coming to the office for decades (obviously only 18 months of that has been with me). We have a small staff (1 front desk, 1 hygienist, 1 assistant, 1 doctor). We also love to see families–kids included.

We are not as “up to date” as many other offices, so please don’t include anything about digital radiographs.

Our most common procedures are preventive care (cleanings and exams), fillings, crown & bridge work, extractions, and restoring implants. We do offer free consults and can help arrange third party financing if needed.

As far as a writing style goes, I guess I would say I prefer something very personable–nothing fancy. I guess similar to the website I referenced before.

Dr. Flack emailed me a list of edits, which I was able to complete on my own.

He also asked for us to write custom content for himself and his office. I requested key facts from him before getting started.

“Thanks for following up. To be honest, I am having a hard time editing the text on these pages. Initially, I was told that I would not have to do any of the writing, but the text that is there is very generic and doesn’t apply to me or my office. Nearly every page needs completely re-written, and creative writing is not my strong suit…so I keep putting it off. Going live with what was there originally was not an option, in my opinion.”

My response:

“I understand your concern – writing takes quite a bit of time! Right now we are using our general stock content for the Services and Articles on your website. However, we can write up to 5 topics of custom content for you if you’d like along with editing any of the existing articles. If you would like for us to write 5 articles for you (no additional charge), please let me know which 5 topics and any notes you would like to include.”

Spoke with Dr. Flack on the phone and he said he will go through the website this weekend and will send me a list of edits if any. He will be ready to take down the construction page thereafter. Will follow up on Monday.

I think the colors and layout look good. There will be some headings, text, etc. that will need to be changed, but I like the overall look.

LC2 Spoke to Dr Flack and he had a few minutes. Asked him what he wants most in the new site and he said -took over this practice recently and no one knows him well, so wants to make sure he is seen well on the search engines and shows up when someone looks for a dentist in Littleton. It’s a small community and should do well with a well written/done site. Went over the pkgs briefly and explained the difference. Showed him the optizyne options and the difference in gold and silver. Wants to do something right away. Hot lead. Super nice Doc.
