– Client requested that I leave stock image of doctor on home page – she is working on having the pose replicated.
– Doctor is also working on rebranding and hasnt decided yet if they will keep the original name – Chatlos Family Dentisty or go with Smart Smile Family Dentistry

1. Change footer menu “About” to “Meet the Doctor” and link it to the page please
2. Wording for “New Patient Special” in promotions section doesnt fit in box when browser size is made smaller/mobile version. Please adjust.

Spoke with Doctor – she liked the design draft – I Reiterated that colors and framework are locked in once we move into development. Got her confirmation that she was happy with the sections and information included on home page (stating this as its been almost 2 months since we last communicated over the phone and I have a feeling that she may have just glanced at the design and not really considered elements – I did give her feedback and suggestions)

I spoke with Justin and my supervisor Belinda concerning the best option for a domain name and they both agreed plumdentist.com was the best option in regards to its search engine friendliness.

Justin suggested that if you wanted to create an alias with smartsmilefamilydentistry.com and use this name on any print marketing such as business cards or brochures, we can set it up so that when people type this domain in, it will redirect to plumdentist.com. (this is called domain aliasing)

But as of now, we will have 2 domain names: http://www.pittsburghsmiledoc.com/ (we will transfer into our account) and plumdentist.com (which I will acquire). These two take up the 2 slots that we allow for each client to have 2 domain names. Each domain name that we acquire for you after 2 is $25 a year. Would you like me to acquire smartsmilefamilydentistry.com as well?

Justin and Belinda first advised plumdentist.com as its more applicable to her area – better for internet searches.

Justin also advised that we could create an alias for her other practice name if she wants to use the practice name domain on business cards ans have that domain name forward to the website

I was wondering if it is possible that I can secure plumdentist.com and smartsmilefamilydentistry.com?? What do you think? Also…I was looking at the websites again more…I definitely realized I like a big centered picture like you mention. I don’t like a lot of little blocks of words all over the place. I like a cleaner look. I do think some of the bright color will make it look cheaper. So if you want to go with some deeper versions of the colors I mentioned I think this will look classier. Just do what you do best 🙂 I will follow your advice.

Overall she wants a sectional website – A good balance of the colors she noted, (not too bright) “lavendar is the color for dentistry”

She is working on compiling staff images and Dr.’s bio (having professional photos taken)

I like the royal purple,kelly green, and magenta with the pastel purple, pink and green mixed in. Also some robin’s egg blue. This is a family oriented suburb. So images of families and older people would be relatable. I am not sure if I should go with the name of the practice as the domain or the area we are in and dentist. Which is the best way to go? I like the idea of the domain matching the name of the practice but I don’t know which would be best for searching criteria. Our office is in plum but I don’t want people from the surrounding suburbs to be turned off by “plum” in the domain either. I don’t have any current staff or office pictures but I will work on that. I will also work on bios. This practice has been here for 40 years. It was my dad’s practice that I took over. All of the staff has been here 20+ years and the person who is the newest has been here 14 years. I think this is a very unique quality of a dental practice. It is truly like a big family.
