I spoke to Max and Kevin. They both seem to have input on the design. They described themselves as “not creative at all,” and wanted to leave the design choices primarily up to us. They wanted to stay within colors that matched or complemented the blue of their logo. Their current site is content heavy, and while they were open to the idea of “breathing room,” they definitely wanted all of the links and content carried over to their new site.
They had somewhat conflicting ideas about the look and feel they were hoping for in the new site. They talked about a “small town vibe,” using words like “family,” “neighbor,” and “welcoming,” while also wanting the site to inspire “confidence in the doctor,” with a “cutting edge” feeling that emphasized new procedures and got across the idea that they are “really good at science.”
They liked the idea of medical images, but also images that promoted a healthy lifestyle, with people being active (hiking, yoga, etc.).
