I had to hire a new company to build these sites because we could not get one site built over months and months of trying.     Spoke with Dr. Watts and he said he never received my response from October 23rd (see below):
    I understand your frustration about not getting the point across in the new articles we wrote for you. After thoroughly comparing them with the rough draft you wrote, it does not seem “direct” or insistent enough. The purpose of us writing content is to get general information on the website for doctors who simply do not have time to write it themselves. We do ask for notes or if there is a specific style of writing you prefer so that we can tailor the articles accordingly. There will be, of course, things you would want to edit/change as the content may not be perfect to your liking.

    Because of this, we cannot rewrite these articles as it would cause us to go back and forth and prolong the process. Since we do have general content to start with, I would suggest we add what we have to the website then you will be able to change the text as you please.

    Please let me know if you would like to move forward with adding these new articles to the website, and I would be more than happy to show you how to edit the articles as well.

    At this point, Dr. Watts is very frustrated that it has been quite some time since he signed up with us and still does not have a live website. He said he was promised to have a website within 60-90 days and was also promised fully custom content for SEO. He said the content overall is not up to par with him, and I acknowledged that it is not as “direct” or insistent enough. I also tried to explain that the content we write is to provide general information for our clients to further customize. He thought that was complete b.s.

    He went on to say that every time he looked at the website, he felt like nothing was being done. We actually added many features to the site once I took over, in which, I ran it by Dr. Watts and he loved the new changes. He said from what he was promised in the initial sale to what he has now is not even the same. I asked if there was anything about the website, besides the content, that he is not happy with and he said he hasn’t looked at the site recently.

    Dr. Watts is pretty much close to canceling and feels that we won’t be able to beat out his current website both aesthetically & marketing wise.

    Do I have the correct articles? The second opinion article is still so generalized paragraphs like:

    “When your dentist says you need major dental work done, sometimes we find ourselves wanting to seek a second opinion from a different dentist to see if we get the same diagnosis. More often than not, the prior diagnosis still stands no matter where we go, but there are also those cases where each dentist has a different opinion. Keep in mind that they are trained differently and have different backgrounds.”

    What?? Our second opinion is different and they should start with us! We are talking about orthodontics not major dental work. I pretty much rewrote this article and it has the same generic content.

    The invisalign article still doesn’t sell Rangewood Orthodontics and myself as the reason to see us over their general dentist.

    I thought we were on the same page with the revisions that I made.

    “Give me the weekend with these. They need some work. I think one thing that we could better do is not only tell people about invisalign, but why chose Rangewood Orthodontics for their invisalign treatment. If we are just selling invisalign then they could go get this product from anyone that sells invisalign. This also goes for Damon brackets and second opinions. We need to differentiate ourselves (Rangewood Orthodontics) from other providers in general and Damon or Invisalign providers.
    The first sentence in seeking a second opinion doesn’t make sense for orthodontics, If you need major dental work done..Not these are braces. not major dental work. These scripts should read something like:
    Having you been searching for that perfect smile but it was too expensive, you didn’t understand the treatment, or maybe the dentist wanted to do the process themselves. Rangewood Orthodontics has your answer.

    Custom Content

    Client believes that we are to create a fully custom site with new content. I believe he does not like his old content and just wants new. He has not been responsive and is short with his feedback therefore his previous content was copied over. As long as client responds with any feedback, we will be able to pave the way to complete the site.

    Roberto is removing all old content and adding ours.

    I saw a note that you were less than happy regarding the content of your website. I spoke with Roberto and Justin (sales manager) regarding your account. Your package definitely comes with customized content and a set of educational material that was created for SEO/patient purposes. We have yet to place them on your website as you did not respond regarding content previously.

    What Roberto is currently completing, is to remove your old content and add our educational material. The content is rather long (4-6 paragraphs) for SEO reasons. Please expect this to be done today.

    You’ve also indicated that the current content is too long for what you’re looking for. What we suggest is to then have a few main pages that are shorter in content; patients who wish to read and click ‘read more’ and such. With your approval, let’s start by getting the new content onto your site, then work together to see where we can add/remove.

I even like the Same-Day Appointments Available.. The blue on blue header bar gets lost. Darken the blue and go to white letters or even go to the see through gray/black of this website.

    Change logo colors: Rangewood Green /Orthodontics Black. I like the green on this website better than the bright green. Make logo and Green the same color that this website uses. We have used PMS369 or close to this color in the past.”

    Dr. Watts seems hesitant to submit his feedback to design drafts. Paige had a phone conversation with him after the draft Belinda and I submitted on 4/4, and did get the following points:

    + He doesn’t like photos of interracial couples, which seemed to conflict somewhat with an earlier note he gave via email, which was “too many white people.”
    + He doesn’t like non-conventional photo formatting – the testimonial image was a group shot taken from below, which meant that two of the models appeared to be upside down.
    + He want’s a hover effect on the “Advanced Options in Orthodontics Section where the images appear in color.
    + He felt the model in the Schedule Appointments section had less-than-perfect teeth.

    I advised him via email that the design process would be more efficient and less prone to confusion if he submitted his feedback directly to me, rather than through Paige. He has not responded.

I think the calls to action need to be moved up one slide split screen which photo and offer which is currently below. I would put these testimonials with People photos. Move videos up. What our pts are saying down to bottom. Groups sell better than indivduals so what are patients are saying should be group photo.     Dr. Watts has a couple of domain names that he would like to use but is open to others if they are more SEO-friendly. SEO is very important to Dr. Watts.

    Dr. Watts would like to keep the colors of his original site, and likes a content-heavy, marketing-focused approach. He likes the “white & bright” look. He wants his images to be on-message, and feels they should depict “pretty people with straight teeth, and braces.” He is open to picking a couple of high-profile services and focusing on them, at least on the home page.

    His clientele is multi-ethnic, and ranges in age “from 8 to 70.” 65% of his patients are female, and he wants to target 30-40-year-old women specifically. The Castle Rock branch is in a high-end part of town, and the clients there are primarily White and Asian.

    Sent me an email: Paige, I had a chance to look over the proposal and talk with all people involved with regard to my website/SEO. 1) I do feel I need a better/ more responsive site and the Platinum package looks good for the main office site. I am pretty happy with my logo and may or may not need educational videos as part of the package. More importantly, I am looking for help with Google places pages and optimizing them to my website. Currently my Places pages are not ranking as high which I believe is do to no specificity of locations. 2) As we discussed ideally I would have 2 additional sites under the Gold package with possible adding Premium SEO initially if On-Site SEO doesn't provide the ranking we are looking to achieve. 3) I though we could possible get the Gold packages down a little since the foundation should be replicated under a different domain with minor specific location information as we discussed. 4) One possibility would be to keep my current site at one location and simply add 2 new locational websites.     Chad returned my call. Sesame site -terrible SEO— tired of trying to get things done w/them. Said has 6 locations-3 on Colorado Springs, 1 in Monument, 1o miles north, small community, good ranking there-1 in Castle Rock, 2 yrs old not good at all for appearing on the search engines.Woodland Park is a referring dentist only and he goes there once a month and the patients go the CO Springs office for all follow ups. Smaller community. So wants someone to lay out a plan- told him he can keep one site for all 3 Colorado Springs offices, then one for each of the 2 offices and the referral office can be on the Colorado springs website. spends $1000 on ad words, 199/mth for that person who does that –likes him so dont think he is going to change that.
    Suggested doing a full 360 plan, minus the ad words, do ad words for 2 of the other website so it starts generating new patients- mirroring his custom site, and add on certain features. social media, blog etc. Also mentioned that he has called a couple of other companies and not impressed or they have not called him at all. Super friendly doctor. Hot lead.
