Emailed Dr yesterday regarding the interview to see why the interview was cut short with Desirae (see previous note).

Spoke to both Laura and Dr. Epstein on the phone. We began to discuss their domains, website examples they liked, office photos they would be taking in the future, and colors…once we started discussing colors, I could hear Laura in the background upset about marketing, then I was suddenly put on hold. Before that point, the conversation had been going well and moving along. Not sure if she read something in the contract that ticked her off, but she then took me off hold and told me that she will have Dr. Epstein call Danny back later today. I asked if there was a specific time or message that I could relay to Danny and she said no. I also asked if she would like to reschedule a time with me to continue discussing the website design and she said she will have Dr. Epstein reschedule with Danny.

Please charge only the MAIN. Will charge the other once we start which is after Main is done. the other 2 sites are duplicates so it can be charged once main design is done.

– will be working on 3 websites: this account is main and the other 2 are satellite sites optimizing Sleep Apnea/Snoring and Dental Implants. He has sleep apnea (http://www.marinsnoringcenter.com/) site up already but the dental implants, I don’t know what domain that is, please ask dr for the dental implant site.

– Design-wise, this main one is custom from scratch. The other 2 satellite will be same/similar as the main for branding but adjustments to focus on each of the 2 respective procedures (snoring/sleep & dental implants).

– please make sure 301 redirects are done. Dr wants to carry over teh SEO history (really important).
– add “marin county” keywords to the metatags in addition to “novato”.

Called per scheduled ph conf, talked to Laura Ann first because dr was still with a patient. Laura Ann is a new hire that will be in charge of marketing. Its a new year so they want to focus on rebranding and do heavy marketing. Understand that site is out-dated.

Dr has 3 websites: 1 main and the other ones are just to optimize Snoring/Sleep Apnea & Dental Implants. dr wants to draw patients for these 2 procedures which is has high return and is very productive. Dr has anesthesia license and deals with medical/care clients for dental implants which is unique. He’s lookign for custom from scratch site to brand him.

Dr agrees with many pointers on what we do and how we can help get him where he needs to be successfully and believes in custom sites. Dr knows a bit about SEO cause previous did those 2 extra sites for this purpose but it is out-dated. Dr saw our work and knows our potential and liked how we are well rounded takign care of every aspect so he can focus on clinic. basically likes 1-stop shop.

Went over 360Plan but after long discussion, dr felt going with Gold was ideal and then add marketing. Originally wanted SEO but pursuaded dr to focus on PPC so he can get immediate patients while his site is being reindexed with our new site. Dr knows its going to take time and liked that i pointed that out vs others who guaranteed.

Goal is to rebrand his main GP practice, then went with my suggestion to duplicate his main design adjusting it a bit for the SNoring and Dental Implant site. We will order unique content so those 2 additional site is optimized.

Dr has full confidence in our capability and agreed to get started. Scheduled call for next Monday at 12:30pm to start design interview. Will charge 1 project at a time.

Also need to do competitors analysis for PPC. Dr has a general idea who his competitors are and what they are spending but want to see what we find.

He is in Novato which is not competitive. Wants to target Marin County.

issue i found with the site: very outdated, template. when you go to http://www.davidepsteindds.com/novato-family-dental-team – the menu options are gone… can’t navigate around unless you go back.

SEO: bottom of 1st page “novato dentist”. Area is not competitive. Should get better SEO with makeover.
