“COREEN DUNTON, R.D.H.
Coreen graduated from Eastern Illinois University with a Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Management in 2005, and worked for several years as an event coordinator before returning to school to become a dental hygienist. Coreen starting working in our office shortly after graduating from Harper College in 2015, by the referral of one of her clinical instructors, Jody Janczak. She enjoys educating patients on their oral health and helping to make them feel comfortable in the dental office. In addition to providing hygiene care, Coreen also works alongside Dr. Barack as a Periodontal Doctor Assistant.
Outside of hygiene, Coreen enjoys taking her two dogs to the beach, running along the Chicago lakeshore path, and exploring local restaurants. She has been involved with multiple volunteer organizations and sincerely enjoys giving back to the community. Coreen is involved with the ADHA, and is currently serving as a Trustee for the Illinois Dental Hygienists’ Association.”

Lindsey graduated from the Dental Hygiene Program at the College of Lake County in May 2010 with a 4.0 GPA and also received the “Golden Scaler Award”. She has been in dentistry ever since with the hopes of acquiring the skills to work in a periodontal office. She joined Old Orchard Periodontics in October 2016. She enjoys building relationships with new and existing patients while improving their oral health along the way.
Outside of work, Lindsey enjoys spending time with her husband and three kids. Lindsey also strives to maintain a healthy lifestyle. When she isn’t working or exercising, you could find her in the kitchen cooking and being creative. ”

Cathie has been with our practice since 1998 and graduated from Harper College as a Registered Dental Hygienist in 1976. She loves helping enrich the lives of our patients and helping them achieve good dental health. Cathie enjoys attending continuing education courses throughout the year in order to stay up-to-date on the latest oral systemic health, periodontal and implant health, smoking cessation strategies, understanding sleep apnea, etc. She is also our OSHA expert and representative who helps maintain a safe environment for our staff and patients. You can always count on Cathie to greet you with a smile and friendly approach!
In her free time, Cathie enjoys spending time with her husband, family and friends. She has fun walking and exploring neighborhoods. She’d love to hear your ideas for local adventures: quirky museums, city art galleries and historic sites. She recently climbed to the top of the Rockefeller Chapel’s Carillon at the University of Chicago. ”

She started with Old Orchard Periodontics & Implant Dentistry in 2013 as a periodontal doctor’s assistant and does hygiene at a referring dental office on other days. Her patients keep her motivated and feed her passion with their needs, trust and healthy smiles that they come back with.
Marta’s love for diverse cultures, religions and nature takes her travelling to some of the most remote parts of the world. When she is not travelling she charges her batteries by gardening, hiking, swimming, biking and downhill & cross country skiing. ”

Shelly is our surgical coordinator as well as our front desk manager extraordinaire. She joined our practice in 2012 and has been in the medical field since 1991. Some of her duties include presenting financial treatment plans, scheduling surgical procedures, answering any questions prior to surgery, and communicating with referring dentists to assure we have all pertinent information before the patient’s appointment. Her close attention to detail and responsive demeanor helps our patients feel at ease before their surgical appointments. She continually enjoys learning new things, everything from the business side to the clinical side, and is always eager to share her new findings with her co-workers and patients!
Outside of work, Shelly loves spending time with her husband and family as well as her two spoiled- rotten cats, Yuki and Louis. In her free time, she enjoys watching HGTV home make-over shows and attending her Zumba and Yoga classes.”
