    1)Can you please make sure that the same options in the Dominick website are copied on ours in menu bar.
    – Please provide the text and outline of how you would like the navigation bar to appear, including the main tabs and the sub-menu tabs or boxes.

    2)In addition, under patient info is doctors portal and that does not belong there.
    -This was requested during our first phone call. Please advise us where you would like the ‘DDS Portal’ to go or if you want it removed entirely from the navigation menu.

    3)Also, when you click on each option, a option box opens up immediately where ours needs a click on it first.
    -This would be a hover versus a click? Meaning, would you like the navigation menu to open the sub-menu box once the mouse hovers over each menu tab? Right now, you need to click on the menu tab for the sub-menu box to appear.

    4)Also, the OOP logo and name against the beige is weak and hard to see. Can you make it the blue that is highlighted.
    -We can change the color of the text but will need you to provide the logo in blue. Please let us know if you would like to make this change.

    “Looks great and we are moving in the right direction.

    Here are things we need to fix:

    The logo: The circles end at top and bottom because they should be touching the square

    The 3 tabs on first page ( next to office picture): Can you remove the doctors portal and replace with services? Azra brought this to my attention because if someone wants to see what we do quickly, we want them to be navigated to icon page and bypass the rest. Please add Doctors portal to icons.

    Picture of office I took shows too much glare. I will send you another one thats better.

    ALSO, can you move the mission statement down so when we look at front page its completely clean but as you scroll down a bit, you can see it.

    Finally, please remove the pictures of doctors, staff and hygienist and replace with icons for now (but keep square and integrity..I like it)

    Last page: under location…squares should be: CONTACT , LOCATION, OUR OFFICE

    Happy Thursday! Based off of your recent feedback, I have updated the design draft below. I know we had discussed on changing the colors and maybe trying some of the pastel blues & greens. However, after looking at your new office photos (beautiful by the way!) I noticed that blues & greens wouldn’t look good with the neutral colors of your office. I included a pastel blue color on the “My journey” button so you could see what it would look like.

    I do think that your new office gives the design a totally different, more sophisticated look and feel. And I actually like these new, neutral colors better than the pastel colors; like Bates but better!

    Please let me know your feedback on the colors and any other changes. I feel like we’re one step closer to development!

    Design Feedback & Additional Changes closed

    Overall likes the design. LOVES ft services area. Talk to me before starting.

    1. Logo: change the symbol to the inverse: white box should be transparent and rings should be white. Change the font to match bates logo font, we can use ‘work sans’ bold.
    2. Our Mission: combine this section with the top. The placement of the mission is good, but would like the background to be of the office photo from the above section. Make sure the paragraph is legible (add a light halo)
    3. Overall paragraph fonts are too small. Enlarge.
    4. Headings: Fonts are too thin, too feminine. Would suggest to use Montserrat (all caps. but smaller size probably) and/or Work sans. Please use these two so that she can compare and decide on which one. Maybe change the letter spacing so there are differences.
    5. Enlarge “Call Today”
    6. Our Team: does not want all staff members there. Never wants a section with too many people/things in it. Always prefers section with three topics that leads to another page.

    Update this section by removing all team member photos.
    – Add three boxes like: https://www.sugarfixdental.com/ (Expert Care + Service section). Photo with border and text below exactly like that but with straight lines.
    – maybe add a BG the way the ft services are, but very faint
    – She will send the photos for each box:

    1) Meet the Doctors
    2) Hygiene Team
    3) Our Staff

    7. Testimonials: do the same as above (3 boxes) with simple photos. However, make the box style slightly different, so that she has an option to choose from. She still wants white border but maybe we can play with the thickness and transparencies.

    8. Footer: same as above, slightly different but still borders. The three boxes are:

    1) Contact Us (with just the info)
    2) Map
    3) Our office — she will send photos

    9. Giving Back: We can get creative here. She initially wanted the 3 boxes look, but I suggested against since we have so much of it. She’s okay with that. But these are the specs:

    – remove Honduras.
    – all photos should have Dr Barack in it
    – photos should be of different times/events not just one place

    10. Need to start organizing the team/pages. She wants each person to have a toggle effect. So, the photo and name will show up, but clicking on the name will toggle their bio. Since she has a lot of team members, I want to start on this so its not a lot to do later on.

    After sending Revy a new design draft (2nd round) based on her updated notes, she responded with the following:

    “Danny,

    After a month of sending Desire endless pictures and conference calls and frustrating emails, I received a “concept” design draft that does not meet my expectations.

    I am extremely disappointed that after this much time and effort, the draft lacks the “specifics” I requested, the features most important to me and the customized feel I was looking for.

    After expressing my frustration in the lack of understanding the first draft displayed, I agreed to help simplify the process and use the “Bates” website as a starting point.

    I proceeded to follow up with emails, specifically communicating the features that were missed, other features I desired for the layout and showed several examples numerous times.

    Although I understand this is a draft, after so much discussion and analysis about colors and design concepts, I was expecting the draft to reflect the essence of what I was looking for, alignment to my vision and a “shell” to the website I would be excited to fill.

    Instead, I received an exact replica of “Bates” with a few changes.

    Unless you can assign a highly experienced designer that will understand how to capture what I am looking for, I will be looking elsewhere.”

    Here is a summary of what has been going on leading up to this point:

    At the beginning of this process, Revy provided me with 2 website examples. In our design interview phone call, she kept referencing https://www.sugarfixdental.com. Because she wanted colors that were the opposite of what was in https://www.sugarfixdental.com, I sent her another website example to confirm if that is the design she really wanted and tailored more towards her colors (http://mitchellmilan.360sites.net/). She was very offended when I sent her the other website example even though I explained why I did so; to help me get a better visual understanding and confirm what she wants. I proceeded to create a design based on https://www.sugarfixdental.com, and when I sent her the first draft, she did not like it at all. She said it was nothing close to what we had discussed (which it was exactly what we had discussed), then she proceeded to tell me that she didn’t want me to reference https://www.sugarfixdental.com at all. At this time, I spoke with her on the phone to clarify exactly what she wanted and we came to the conclusion that she wanted me to reference Bates Dental and ignore https://www.sugarfixdental.com.

    Soon after that, she proceeded to send me NUMEROUS emails with pictures, things she wanted to see on the other pages, etc… I responded to confirm that I had received all images and notes and that some of the things she had requested (for inner pages) she would be able to see once the website had been developed.

    Overall, she has not been very clear with what she wants from the beginning since she said she wanted me to reference one website (https://www.sugarfixdental.com) then got upset when I sent her a design similar then changed her mind and wanted me to reference Bates instead. Her notes have not been clear, both over the phone and email, and she is too fixated on certain details. Also, she would get upset with me at times when I asked questions to confirm for my knowledge and to understand what she wants.

    Called spoke to Revy. After spending 30 mins with Revy trying to get things situated, I decided and made the decision with Revy that we should part way and wished her the best with the next company whomever she works with. I tried by being the middle person to take the notes for Desirae but during the discussion, she kept going off course and not listening to what the focus is which is the layouts and colors. She kept on complaining and pointing out things that are irrelevent to the process which are all trademarks of Desirae's complaint about her. We both left on a good note and she was appreciative of the decision to go separate ways.

    Desirae, i would recommend speaking to her over the phone to point out how her feedbacks or references are contradicting and that you 2 need to come to a common ground as far as understanding. Emails with her would not be best to get this situated butinstead with phone call. Also, in the future, if you feel that you and the client are not on the same page with during the interview, i think it should be situated before the phone call ends so everyone is on the same page with full clarification and expectations from both designer and client.

    Revy called, inquiring for Dr. Barack.

    She interrupted my presentation a lot cause she “knows” some of these comparisons which she ended up not knowing after I pointed out the different type of design companies and features we offer vs others.

    She later on apologized for interrupting stating that she is like that which is very particular. A lot of the questions she had was going to be covered but was interrupted which i even pointed out.

    She is talking to Officite/Pbhs cause she brought up how they are having a special for $3300 (reg: $5500). told her they always have this special. Told her that it is Custom design whcih is still a template cause she thought it was comparable to our Gold. Pointed out and she understood.

    Wanted a video type in the header area like: https://www.sugarfixdental.com/ – told her we can do it. We finally came to an agreement for $3,500 to competitive match the other company. She wants to get this done asap before end of the year. Also interested in videos which I quoted a higher monthly fee.

    We ended up connecting a lot because she liked how I was upfront with her and told her straight out how she interrupted me. She valued my guidance and recommendations which was an asset to her in the future.

    Design-wise, she mentioned she won’t have the videos selected yet so in meantime we will need to create a header so dimensions would fit it in the future to replace with video.

    Sent contract. She stated she will have it signed by next Monday.

Told her to expedite, simply sign and we can start the project and take care of the payment in 30 days for intiial charge. She will disc with dr and get back to me.
