I noticed on the home page when you scroll down to meet the teem. Teem is misspelled.

Does not like his design, says it’s too “basic.” Wants to change website to look like onemedical.com

Told him that he has approved of the layout previously and mentioned that the site was very simple, he was sure he wanted “simple” previously. Said that we’re going to have to change the structure of the site. He responded “I didnt know I’d have to learn HTML” — told him no, but you did approve a design and structure. What we can do is go back to drawing board and he needs to approve of the following:

1. home
2. services page
3. inner page

Once it’s approved then those are the layouts he has and all of the pages will be applied to services or inner page layout. Emailed him drafts today.

“meet the team” page can we have the registered dental assistants in acronym form (RDA). Also Pam and Marijoy will also need “RDA, schedule coord” and “RDA, Office manager”.

Dr. Lee was born and raised in Orange County, California and moved to the Bay Area in 2004 to attend dental school. Dr. Lee graduated from the Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry at University of the Pacific in 2007. He is a third generation dentist – his grandfather, father, uncle, and sister are also general dentists in Southern California. He has been practicing for over 10 years focusing on all phases of dentistry including cosmetic and implants. Currently, Dr. Lee is a board member for Alameda County Dental Society, a member of the California Dental Association, American Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, and Spear Faculty Club. During his free time he enjoys playing tennis, golf, running, hiking, and trying out new restaurants.

The only difference between the two is that the logo is in different fonts. Please let me know if you’d like to move forward with the design and go into development.

Note that everything is very evenly spaced and text matches. He wants a “plain” but “full” site.

COLORS: use some more color in the design however. Can we use a vibrant blue and green? Not the boring shades 🙂

– jsco.net: likes the layout, amount of text, sizing of text, everything is even and organized. Doesn’t necessarily like less text, but clearly formatted text.
– client is a minimalist but informative.
– colors: open to colors, but can’t be too bright/young. His demographic is older patients but is in a techy area. Have to marry the idea of modern and traditional.
– fonts: use modern, hip, but easy to read. Montserrat is a good header.
– associations: ada, agd, cda, aecd, spear education faculty (show on home page)
– doesn’t want the page to be long, http://jsco.net/ is a good length.
– has specialtists: endo and perio on site.

Went back to discuss the differences of the site. We pointed toward keystone due to it being black and white and primarily dark. He is okay with dark since we both agreed we wanted to go for a slick modern and high-end feeling.

Wanted to integrate instagram somehow and I suggested an instagram feed (filmstripstyle).

– Dr is in the process of renovating his office and would like to integrate the branding so it is consistent with the interior and new branding.
– dr originally was going to wait to start the web makeover until after it was done but told dr to simply start to expedite the project and that designer can integrate the colors or theme based on what he has or anticipate.

Also discuss SEO and marketing, drs goal is to get on the 1st page asap. Dr knows a bit about SEO and also seems to be aware of Adwords. Gave him him the advantages of Adwords over SEO which he agreed. We will connect on the Adwords after new site is launched. Hot lead and prob RTO. Sent contract with examples of new client’s design concepts.
