1. Brooke- Pretest Technician/Front Desk Coordinator
Brooke is a lifetime resident of Smyrna. Brooke has several years of customer service experience and in the medical office. She specializes in contact lens ordering and prepares our patients to see Dr. Trapeni. Her and her husband Jeremy have a 5 year old daughter named Ryker, and are anxiously awaiting the arrival of their second daughter. Most of her spare time is spent at the softball field or shopping for her girls! She also enjoys spending time with family, hanging out with friends, and crafting.
2. Haley- Front Desk Coordinator
Haley is a native of Irmo, South Carolina. She moved to Nolensville, TN in 2010. Haley has been in eye care for 1 year. She will greet you with a warm smile. Haley can answer all of your questions regarding your visit. She has experience in frame styling and dispensing glasses. She enjoys spending time with her dog Nala and hanging out with friends and family. Haley also enjoys cheering on her favorite football team Clemson!
3. Jessica- Optometric Technician
Jessica has been in the optometric field for over 10 years. She is passionate about ocular health and enjoys helping every patient that comes to our office. She performs an array of testing for Dr. Trapeni. Jessica specializes in refractions, contact lens fitting, Optomap and various medical testing. Jessica’s first priority is to educate patients about the health and care of their eyes. She resides in Smyrna with her 3 beautiful daughters. Outside of work, Jessica loved to read, work out and travel.
4. Megan – Optician
Megan lives here in Smyrna with her husband Jason. They have 3 beautiful children, Deuce, Dizzle, and Emma. They love spending their days outside, either at a football or baseball game. Megan and her family loves the outdoors; they fish, take family walks, or just play ball in their yard. Megan has lived all over the US, including Ohio, New York, Florida, Idaho, and Alaska. She loves to sit and share stories of the adventures she experienced growing up. Megan has worked in the optical industry on and off for 16 years. She has experience with everything from the front office to scribing/teching for the doctor. She does a great job helping select the best pair of glasses for you. She will go over all lens options and help you with your vision benefits. Megan’s passion for eyecare shows as she assists you with all your optical needs.
5. Renee- Office Manager
Renee is a native of Newton, NJ. She has lived in California, North Carolina and Florida. She has called Nashville, TN her home since 2005. Renee brings over 18 years of eye care knowledge to our practice. She began as an optician, but moved to management 10 years ago. Renee strives for excellent patient care and providing an environment where patient education is a priority. She resides in Rutherford County with her husband, Chad and three young daughters, Kadence, Kylah and Karlie. In her spare time, Renee enjoys traveling, volunteering and dining on fine food.
6. Dr. Paul D. Trapeni Jr.
After receiving his Doctor of Optometry from Southern College of Optometry, Dr. Trapeni completed a residency in Memphis, Tennessee at the Mid-Town Eye Clinic, with an emphasis on corneal disease. He practiced in Union City, Tennessee for 4 years then established his Smyrna location in 1989.
Dr. Trapeni is an expert in the care and management of the corneal-compromised patient. He specializes in the care for keratoconus, post radial keratotomy (RK) and post-Lasik complications, dry eye, and contact lens patients who are a difficult fit.
Dr. Trapeni is Tennessee State Board Certified and also State Board Therapeutic Certified as well as an Optometric physician in Glaucoma care and treatment.
Dr. Trapeni is a member of the Tennessee Optometric Association and the American Optometric Association (AOA). He and his wife, Vickie, have three children. Dr. Trapeni enjoys fly-fishing, gardening and spending time with his wife and children on and off the field of sports.
