    Hosting Issue
    Accounting | 2016-10-31 | Danny | #62197 |

Spoke to Mike regarding the Bill that they have. There are confusions with regards to who’s hosting it. Domain was transferred to dentrix (Henry Schein) but still pointed to us for hosting. Client thought the whole time since June, it is hosted by Dentrix hence why he’s wondering why there is a bill. He’s basically paying 2 companies for hosting. Told him that they are the admin and that they are the one that didn’t update the dns. He will talk to them to get to the bottom of this and will get back to me.

Dr. Rachel Lowery grew up in North Carolina but now considers Texas to be her home. She earned her Bachelors of Science in Biology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2006. She then moved to Texas and earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery while graduating with High Honors from the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio. She supports organized dentistry and is a member of the American Dental Association, Texas Dental Association, San Antonio District Dental Society, Academy of General Dentistry, and Christian Medical and Dental Association.

Dr. Lowery’s interest in dentistry began as a teenager when braces transformed her smile and improved her self-esteem. Her passion is giving others a smile they want to show off as well. She provides gentle, caring dentistry and offers nitrous oxide and oral sedation. In their free time, Dr. Lowery and her husband enjoy traveling, playing tennis, being outdoors, cooking, watching sports, and spending time with their new baby and three dogs.

    Content: Nitrous Oxide closed
    Task: Website | 2016-06-03 | Marvin A. | #52514 |

    Nitrous Oxide
Nitrous Oxide or Laughing gas is used in the form of a gas during dental procedures. Once discontinued in the office setting, the gas is almost immediately dissipated from the body within seconds. There are no prolonged side effects when using Nitrous Oxide, and normal activity can be resumed post dental procedure. However, the main concern lies with the effects of local anesthesia, and caution should be geared towards prevention of lip, tongue, and cheek biting as instructed by the dentist.

Content: After tooth extraction instructions closed
    Task: Website | 2016-06-03 | Marvin A. | #52510 |

    After Tooth Extraction
After tooth extraction, it’s important for a blood clot to form to stop the bleeding and begin the healing process. That’s why we ask you to bite on a gauze pad for 30-45 minutes after the appointment. If the bleeding or oozing still persists, place another gauze pad and bite firmly for another 30 minutes. You may have to do this several times.

After the blood clot forms, it is important not to disturb or dislodge the clot as it aids healing. Do not rinse vigorously, suck on straws, smoke, drink alcohol or brush teeth next to the extraction site for 72 hours. These activities will dislodge or dissolve the clot and retard the healing process. Limit vigorous exercise for the next 24 hours as this will increase blood pressure and may cause more bleeding from the extraction site.

After the tooth is extracted you may feel some pain and experience some swelling. An ice pack or an unopened bag of frozen peas or corn applied to the area will keep swelling to a minimum.. To minimize swelling, apply an ice bag or a plastic bag or towel filled with ice cubes on the cheek in the area of surgery. Apply the ice continuously as much as possible for the first 36 hours. Take pain medications as prescribed. The swelling usually subsides after 48 hours. If it is difficult to eat please keep up your nutrition with healthy protein drinks.(not energy drinks)

Use the pain medication as directed. Call the office if the medication doesn’t seem to be working. If antibiotics are prescribed, continue to take them for the indicated length of time, even if signs and symptoms of infection are gone. Drink lots of fluid and eat nutritious soft food on the day of the extraction. You can eat normally as soon as you are comfortable.

It is important to resume your normal dental routine after 24 hours. This should include brushing and flossing your teeth at least once a day. This will speed healing and help keep your mouth fresh and clean.

After a few days you will feel fine and can resume your normal activities. If you have heavy bleeding, severe pain, continued swelling for 2-3 days, or a reaction to the medication, call our office immediately at 210-691-1333

    Oral Hygiene

Mouth cleanliness is essential to good healing. Clean your mouth thoroughly after each meal beginning the day after surgery. Brush your teeth as best you can. Rinse with warm salt water (1/2 teaspoon of salt in a cup of warm water)upto six times a day. Continue this procedure until healing is complete.

REMEMBER: A clean wound heals better and faster.

    Sutures

Sutures aresometimes placed the area of surgery to minimize post-operative bleeding and to help healing. Sometimes they become dislodged, this is no cause for alarm. Just remove the loosed suture from your mouth and discard it. Sometimes, dissolvable sutures are utilized during surgery. Othertimes, the sutures will be removed approximately one week after surgery by your dentist. The removal of sutures requires no anesthesia or needles. It takes only a minute or so, and there is no discomfort associated with this procedure. So it’s really nothing to worry about.

    Extraction site

There will be a cavity where the tooth was removed. The cavity will gradually fill in with new tissue over the next month. In the mean time, the area should be kept clean especially after meals with salt water rinses or a toothbrush.

    Content: Sensitive Teeth closed
    Task: Website | 2016-06-03 | Marvin A. | #52506 |

What Does Teeth Sensitivity Mean for Your Teeth?
Teeth sensitivity can mean significant pain and it often impacts daily activities, such as eating, drinking, and brushing your teeth. It can also lead to painful dentist office visits and procedures.

In healthy teeth, porous tissue called dentin is protected by your gums and by your teeth’s hard enamel outer layer. However, dentin can become exposed due to receding gums, fractured or chipped teeth or erosion. Microscopic holes in the dentin, called tubules, connect to the nerve, triggering pain when irritated by certain foods and beverages.

    Causes of Sensitive Teeth

Brushing Too Hard: Brushing too hard or using a hard-bristled toothbrush can cause gum recession and root exposure over time.
Acidic Foods: Eating acidic foods and beverages on a regular basis can cause enamel to erode, increasing the likelihood of sensitivity.
    Bleaching
Tooth Decay- a sensitivity to sweets only is often an indication you might have a cavity starting
Tooth grinding, or bruxism, can lead to a sensitive tooth or teeth. Not only can the act of grinding itself cause a sensitive tooth, but chronic grinding can wear away tooth enamel and expose tiny tubules that lead to the nerves in the inner part of the tooth.
    Ways to relieve the Sensitivity
Fluoride helps protect against tooth sensitivity by strengthening tooth enamel. Look for toothpaste and mouth rinses that contain fluoride. Stannous fluoride is particularly good for treating sensitive teeth. Dr Blaess recommends Mi paste for daily use and a tray delivery method works best.
Gum Surgery may be needed to fix gum recession
    Filling may be needed
If you grind your teeth at night, call us about a mouth guard.

It’s time to recognize there’s a lot more to snoring that could keep you up at night.
Sleep-related dental problems such as GERD (heartburn/acid reflux) and bruxism (teeth grinding) may be signs of more serious health risks including stroke, heart disease, arrhythmias and esophageal cancer. Plus, there are proven links between lack of sleep and a host of problematic symptoms including depression, memory loss, hypertension and weight gain.

TAP Sleep Care from Airway Management effectively treats the full spectrum of sleep-disordered breathing, offering you a holistic, more intelligent approach to your well-being that can dramatically improve your quality of life.

    Email after phone call
    Design | 2016-04-27 | Marvin A. | #49861 |

Doctor was concerned about the content and was wondering why there was content there without her being involved. Told her that it’s content we load based on their practice and that this is the time where we talk about editing/adding/deleting content. Assured them that I am not leaving them hanging and that I am here to help them get their site up.

    —–

    Hi Dr. Blaess,

It was great talking to you and I apologize if things were not clear. This stage is the portion where we talk about the content and what needs to be adjusted.

Just so that the site didn’t look too sparse/blank I loaded content from our library that I felt would fit appropriately and took some content from your existing site (bios and press articles) to help fill out your site more.

We can definitely adjust the content with your direction!

Here is a link for our video library, let me know which specific procedures you would want. (http://optimized360.com/patient-education-videos/)

Here is a link to our entire library for content. (http://360companysites.com/)

For your convenience here are quick links to the content I feel is more pertinent to your practice.

    http://360companysites.com/specialty/cosmetic-dentistry/
    http://360companysites.com/specialty/dentistry-others/
    http://360companysites.com/specialty/general-dentistry/
    http://360companysites.com/specialty/pediatric-dentistry/
    http://360companysites.com/specialty/periodontics/

If it helps, you can let me know “Marvin I want the entire Cosmetic Dentistry library” instead of listing out the individual procedures. Whichever way is easier for you!

Also, I will adjust the 9 boxes the way we had it on our draft.

Please let me know if I missed anything or you have any other concerns. I assure you that I will do my best to help you every step of the way in getting your site the way you want it!

See “in the media page” the BG stops at a certain height, please fix.

Hi Dr. Blaess, Can you clarify what you meant by the cycle? Do you mean the picture of the riverwalk or the picture above it? We can make either of the two cycle, my recommendation would be the one above the riverwalk. Usually we do not change images that are key elements of the design, but in this case so that we can move forward, I can help you change the images after development. After that change, we won't be able to change it back or pick something else as it will require additional coding. Please let me know how you would like to proceed!
    2016-04-13 | marvin.a
I am wondering if the picture in the cycle can be changed later?? If so we can move on Irene Sent from my iPhone

    Hi Dr. Blaess,

I went ahead and made the changes to the dentures picture and the lanap picture. Let me know if we are ready to go to develop the site! Still waiting on your new family photo, but I would like to push for us to start coding your site and replace the photo once we are done developing.

Let me know what you think!

    HI Dr. Blaess,

I know you asked me if you could provide me pictures for the next adjustment, but I just wanted to get the ball rolling with the adjustment. Here is an updated draft based on your feedback. I did try to enlarge most of the font sizes. The navigation menu size was set the same due to no width space. I assure you that text appears smaller in drafts. In comparison to your site, the menu font size is actually larger than your current menu font size.

As for your logo, I did my best to recreate it since the one I got off of your site became blurry as I enlarged it.

In order to fit the 9 boxes, i rearranged the layout a little bit and condensed the text into the box. I know you wanted yellow as the text, but it was not readable – so I used one box as a one off to show you what a yellow overlay would look like. The general idea is for this section is to have a hover effect. The 2nd picture (where braces text would be) would be what the box would look like when hovered on with your mouse. Overall, we typically do not recommend more than 4 boxes, but I did try to find a solution that was the most readable.

You might question why we used a smiling family for “Emergency Pain Control”, but that is so that the images as a whole are consistent. We wouldn’t want all 8 pictures to be happy and 1 random picture to be of someone in pain.

Hi Dr. Blaess, I got your review!

By lighter version, we mean the green tea colored one, correct?

    Hi Dr. Blaess,

Also, take a look at the design with this link Link 1

And click on the image so that it zooms all the way. This is how it would look in your browser — Let me know if you need the text to still be larger.

Not this color—The one that matches the green umbrella in the background(brighter)

    Sent from my iPhone

Yes the text needs to be larger-The smallest font should be about the size of the font under the boxes-logo is too small , The phone number needs to be much bigger and standout-there needs to be a tag line by it ” call now”–the phone number needs to be the bright yellow of the background.

    Sent from my iPhone

** not the green tea — the grassy looking color
** smallest font should be that of them boxes and increasing and proportion from there on
** The phone number should be in bright yellow–as well as the writing under the boxes–use the yellow in the umbrella in the background for color sample.
** rearrange the order of the boxes as indicated…The Hispanic family picture needs to be first not the older couple– can I send some pictures to use?

    Hi Dr. Blaess,

    I apologize for the delay!

Here is a draft based on our conversation on the phone. We tried to incorporate the fresh palette you described while also having your brand’s dark brown. It is a bit disjointed scheme-wise, but we tried to pull it together with the Riverwalk photo.

Just in case, I also included a draft where we replaced the “mint” with a more “green tea” green. Let me know what you think.

*I like the brighter version better * the logo needs to be bigger. * In Texas there is a law that says that my name needs to be on the front page Dr. Irene Blaess and Associates. * I would like 9 boxes in stead of the 3 1 Cosmetic Dentistry- 2 Braces and Invisalign-3 Implants 4.Lanap/Gum Disease-5 Dentures-6Emergency Pain Control 7. Kids 8. Homecare and Instructions 9.Diabeties *the font is too small overall * on the diabeties picture -- please do not put blood--(a hispanic family shot would be good for it)

They are a general dentist. They do implants and extensive extractions as well. They like smilelinedentistry.com.

They mentioned “riverwalk” (http://www.bigstockphoto.com/image-3940226/stock-photo-san-antonio-riverwalk) which is a landmarker for locals.

The community is very family orientated and very military. They would like a section for “Dentistry & Diabetes”. Their logo is how the name is typeset on the current site.

They would like to keep to that brown they have as their current branding — but they would like a bright inviting site. They mentioned “fresh pallette” – like a minty green.

The locals are a little behind the times so a super contemporary site would not be advised.

Hi Dr. Blaess! I received your Design Questionnaire this morning and I had called your office. Kimberly had let me know you were off today and it would be best to reach you on your cell. I left a message on your cell, but let me know what time is more convenient for you to talk about your design questionnaire and go over any websites you like. It is my goal to get your site up and running within 3 weeks, so if there is anything I can do to help facilitate the process, let me know!

    – add Pt videos (integrate on each page based on procedures
    – do 301 redirect
    – they have pt forms on the site and also patient portal links to carry over (may cancel patient portal with dentrix but just carry link over)

    – send email intro by end of the day for them to fill out. I’ve instructed them to put in the comment a day/time to do phone interview after submission.

    Estimates | 2016-03-09 | Danny | #46623 |

Called. Finally got a hold of the dr. She was driving but it was a good time. She apologized for not getting back to me, been busy.
Dr wants a custom website makeover cause current site needs a lot of help. She wants the site to be clean, modern and navigational which is what I had brought up before she mentioned it. She stated that we are meeting eye to eye and understand what she expects out of this site. Dr stated that she is currently with Henry Schein but wants to cancel the website with them but they are trying to keep her but she refuses to stay with them. Based on what she said, they won’t release her domain which i told her she does own it cause many patients have switched over to us and we ahve worked on transferring it over. I believe the dr was confused with the website ownership which is what they meant she does not own. They tried referring her to a management company to develop the website but she wants to work with a company like ours. Dr request to send some of our work so she can get an idea on the quality of our work. Sent dr info. VERY HOT LEAD. call to f/u in a few days.

called dr per ph conference. Dr had her husband Mike on conference call to ask some technical questions. Questions were more about the pt vid bc had issues in the past the company went out of business. Assured them that they are well respected and reliable but if it does, we have others we work with. Asked about SEO which i told him we do stay up to date with Google's Algorithm and integrate it on to our clients. He gave cc over the phone to start.
    2016-03-10 | danny.n
gave dr a link to our pt videos page. explained how the videos are streamed. Gave dr a 4-6 turnaround time which is all dependent on our clients availability during the communication process.

"I looked everything over-- some sites I like the mobile version but not desktop while others I like desktop version best. Overall I liked the work. I did think of some questions -- where are the videos coming from? I mean are videos embedded within the site or are hosted somewhere else? Also by when could a new site be up and running? called dr per ph conference. He gave cc over the phone to start.

gave dr a link to our pt videos page. explained how the videos are streamed.
