I have been a patient of Dr. Cao-Rothwell at Stone Ridge Dental Care for nearly ten years. I have never had a pleasant experience at the dentist until I became one of her patients. Dr. Cao-Rothwell’s practice advertises with the slogan “gentle care.” In my opinion “gentle care” is an understatement–I consistently fall asleep during regular cleanings (even with the water jet) and it’s all I can do to stay awake during more complicated (and typically uncomfortable) procedures. Not surprisingly, even her injections are barely felt. Moreover, the quality of her work is outstanding–she is very thorough, instructive and utilizes the most up to date techniques and equipment. Just an update on what is going on during development. We are little behind schedule of where we should be. It just a matter of cleaning up the coding and have it checked for quality control. We will have the site to you in a few days.

While that is being done, is what is on your current site the content you want transferred over? Are there any PDFs of your patient forms you would like for us to include?

Also I see a list of your services, was there any other service that is provided? We have a library of patient education content and I want to make sure that we load everything that we can. Things like invisalign and etc. If you can come up with a list of additional services that is offered than what is listed on the site, then I can let you know if we have that content.

Here is an updated draft based on your feedback. I decided to take the Dr. prefix out of the under the logo, let me know if you want me to keep the prefix in.

Also, yes the 3 circles will link to the appropriate pages that describe the subject matter further. That is the function of these images. 🙂

Looks good – a couple of changes though. Mostly picture moves:

Replace the big picture of the mother and daughter with the family picture in the original design (see attached). Move the mother and daughter picture to the Testimonials section, and replace the “Same Day Crowns” picture with the picture of the women in the Testimonial section. Then relabel the “Same Day Crowns” circle as “Veneers”.

The circle currently labeled “Dental Implants” change to “Sealants” (leave picture as is).

Relabel the “Same Day Root Canal” circle as “Dental Implants” and replace the picture with an older patient.

The section with the line “Your Stone Ridge Quality Dentist”, replace the word Quality with Premier. I believe there is some Dental Association rule against dentists using the word quality in their advertising.

Under the large logo at the top of the page, change the name to read “Hong Cao-Rothwell, DMD”. For the address line at the top, change the name to read “Hong “Holly” Cao-Rothwell, DMD”. For the rest of the page change the name to “Hong Cao-Rothwell, DMD”.

We’re hoping each of the circles (Sealants, Veneers, and Dental Implants) will have a link that takes you to more info about that service.

I’ve attached the edited design. As for the photos, I don’t quite understand what you mean. If you mean, will they be on your site? Yes they will be! Minus the doctor placeholder which you said you would supply.

If everything besides your wife’s photo looks good, we can go into development to make it a working site while we wait for her studio photos.

Overall, he liked the blue version the best. He wants to see more designs though. He is very specific on having their logo larger on their site — like in the hero section (like the examples I will provide). And having the dr’s name very prominent. (Dr. Holly Cao-Rothwell).

The doctor is also Chinese, so it would be good to add a picture or two of asian people within the site.

Overall, the websites he references are the typical long scrolling sectioned websites with large imagery — so it should be pretty self explanatory. Please design in mind of the parallax animations as we may go that route.

We like the second option better (with the family photo on main page). Some suggestions for the website:

Increase the size of the logo and prominently include my wife’s name (Dr. Hong “Holly” Cao-Rothwell) somewhere around the address line.

Take the Our Featured Services section off the Home page. If we have photos on the Services page they need to be age-appropriate – implants, crowns, and root canals should show middle-aged or older faces.

Work in a little more ethnicity with the photos. My wife is Chinese-American so maybe a photo of an Asian face would be nice.

My wife will have a studio photo done and we will send that to you to display on a Meet the Dentist page.

Also, we don’t need the Areas Served, Special Offers, or Financing pages.

Draft 1:
Cleaner and more sectioned. Warm and inviting feeling for families with a touch of modern.

Draft 2:
More quirky and fun. Targeting families, but children in particular — not too over the top. Much more colorful.

Keep in mind we can always change the pictures. Try to look at the overall layout. Let me know your feedback and if these drafts are good enough to work on or move forward with.

The proposal in which I have presented to you for $800 more included a DESIGN FROM SCRATCH (not a template) with all features such as Mobile & Optimization AND Design Ownership.
Why would you pay $2,700 for an automated design in which you may modify certain pre-selected customized features?
