There are a significant number of small content changes, but once they are done, I cannot see anything else that needs to be changed for the site to go live. I appreciate all your help!
My change requests are as follows:
Under “Meet Us”, last paragraph before “our Duncanville staff”, next to last sentence should read, “Dr. Witherspoon’s practice opened in a tiny Cedar Hill office in 2011, moved to a larger office on Main Street in Duncanville in 2014, and in April 2016 moved to our new location at the intersection of Wheatland Road and Main Street in Duncanville.”
On “What Makes Us Different” tab, please add a break at the end between “go.” and “Our”.
Under “How we can help” tab, “Chiropractic Care” link, under “Frequently Asked Questions”, if the words “Duncanville chiropractic appointment” are there for SEO, leave them. If not, please change each to “Fix The Cause Chiropractic appointment”.
Same section: “Am I a candidate for chiropractic treatment?” “The only way to know if you are a candidate for chiropractic treatment is by consulting with a Duncanville chiropractor” please replace “a Duncanville chiropractor” with “chiropractor Dr. Witherspoon” or simply “Dr. Witherspoon”. There are 6 other chiropractors in Duncanville, and I don’t want people consulting any of them but me. 🙂
Same section: under “What should I expect” I would like to share with you my procedure and let you word things in a SEO-friendly way… We do not adjust on the first visit. First visit consists of a thorough consultation about the patient’s condition and a thorough Chiropractic examination; and if needed, we recommend x-rays (we x-ray nearly everyone – there are just so many things that are missed without actually seeing the joints I will be working on for the patient’s benefit – but of course pregnant women and tiny children are not x-rayed). That is the extent of the first visit. I bring them back the next day or later to review my findings and, if they agree, I perform a “test adjustment” to see if their body will accept Chiropractic treatment. If they respond well, I offer to make recommendations that will help us work together to fix the cause of their problems and lead them toward health. –Please consider this procedure and modify this section accordingly.
Under “Will I need to follow any special instructions…”: “After your initial treatment, Dr. Witherspoon will likely recommend some activities to do at home to reduce inflammation. Sometimes, when a joint has not moved properly for a while and it is “adjusted” so it will begin moving better, that joint will be “irritated” by the new motion. Like breaking a bad habit, changing poor posture and reforming joints that have not moved correctly for a while takes time. Therefore, after Dr. Witherspoon knows your body will respond to Chiropractic treatment, he will carefully consider all the factors of your past health, combine that knowledge with the new information obtained through the new patient process, and he will offer his recommendations for your care.” –Again, if needed, please modify this for SEO. But this is the exact process I go through with each new patient.
Please do not put anything about “popping” or “cracking”. There is a video currently circulating from Australia, as well as a poorly-conceived ad from a Chiropractor in California, that shows the “cracking” process. While the treatments may be thoroughly legitimate, the videos, along with the concept of “cracking” in Chiropractic adjusting, has led the Australian authorities to crack down hard on Chiropractors. We don’t even want that in their heads before they make first contact with us. It is a concept we will explain in office before the first adjustment and after we have developed some rapport with the patient.
Under “How we can help” tab, “Back Pain” link: top paragraph, “Duncanville chiropractors” – replace with Dr. Witherspoon.
FAQ at the bottom of the “Back Pain” page: under “Should i see…” replace “Duncanville chiropractor” with “Fix The Cause Chiropractic in Duncanville”.
Under “How will a Duncanville chiropractor…” replace “Duncanville chiropractor” with either “Dr. Witherspoon” or “Fix The Cause chiropractor”, then for the first words, replace “Your chiropractor” with “Dr. Witherspoon”. Same paragraph, last sentence, add italic portion please (doesn’t have to be in italics on page) “until your pain subsides, your function improves, and your body is on the way to superior health.”
Under “What should I expect”, second sentence, at the end, “following your treatment as your muscles and joints respond to the new motion.” Eliminate the last sentence that starts with “otherwise”.
Under “How we can help” tab, “Neck Pain” link: replace “Duncanville chiropractic” with “Fix The Cause Chiropractic”. In the FAQ below, question 1, replace “Duncanville chiropractor” with Dr. Witherspoon; last sentence, change “your chiropractor” to “he”, change “from a different type of medical practitioner” to “by a medical practitioner”, and change “he or she” to “he”. QUESTION 2: begin with “After appropriate consultation, examination, and diagnosis, Dr. Witherspoon may perform…” – eliminate “your Duncanville chiropractor will perform”. In this section, “here” should be spelled “hear”. QUESTION 3: Replace whole answer with “Yes. Dr. Witherspoon will recommend actions you can take that can improve both your spinal motion and the muscle tone surrounding your spine. However, each individual is unique, and his recommendations will take into account the condition of your neck.”
Under “How we can help” tab, “Neck Pain” link: in the “did you know” section, replace the last sentence with “Proper shoe-wear can better distribute pressure and help prevent chronic knee pain.” FAQ, QUESTION 1: Chiropractic treatments are USUALLY the least invasive (replace the “always”). Replace “your Duncanville chiropractor” with “Dr. Witherspoon”. QUESTION 2: first sentence, change “may order x-rays or other imaging” to “may take x-rays or refer for other imaging”; change “your Duncanville chiropractor” to “Dr. Witherspoon”; last sentence, change “your chiropractor” to “he”.
ASIDE: I’m going to stop listing the “Duncanville chiropractor” changes – please change all that read “Duncanville chiropractor” to either “Dr. Witherspoon” or “Fix The Cause Chiropractic”, whichever seems to fit the situation best. I leave that stylistic determination in your hands.
Under “How we can help” tab, “Foot Pain” link: FAQ QUESTION 2: “may order an x-ray” to “may take an x-ray”. QUESTION 3: At the end, add “Dr. Witherspoon can offer the most accurate recommendations for your feet after finding your primary issues.”
Under “How we can help” tab, “Massage therapy” link: Top paragraph, change “the therapy works” to “Chiropractic works”; next sentence, “Massage in conjunction with chiropractic treatments helps muscles function better and makes them respond more quickly to chiropractic adjustments. Dr. Witherspoon not only recommends massage to his patients – Fix The Cause Chiropractic offers it at our Duncanville location!”
Lots of issues in this FAQ section that sends people away from a chiropractor to ask a medical doctor if they should have muscle work done. FAQ: QUESTION 1: Should be phrased, “Should I get a massage?”; they should ask their chiropractor before getting treatment. QUESTION 2: “masseuse” should be “massage therapist” as “masseuse” has a sexual undertone in current medical circles and most MTs now hate the term (like flight attendants now tend to hate the term “stewardess”). “traditional massage” to “Swedish massage”,… then this section should read: “you can elect Swedish massage for superficial muscle relaxation, lymph massage to address blocked lymph glands and improve the immune system, or deep tissue or medical massage to target the muscles deep beneath the skin. All of these styles are available at Fix The Cause Chiropractic in Duncanville.” Then go on to the duration sentence. QUESTION 3: After “Yes.”, start the sentence with “Massage”.
Under “How we can help” tab, “Headaches” link: “Did you know” section, last sentence, “Dr. Witherspoon will work with his patients at the Duncanville office to help identify…” and finish that sentence. FAQ QUESTION 1: “Should I visit Fix The Cause Chiropractic for headache relief?” QUESTION 2: second sentence start “You may also answer questions…”. First paragraph, last sentence, “Together with Dr. Witherspoon, you will work to identify potential triggers and find the cause of your headaches.” QUESTION 3: last sentence, eliminate after the comma (replacing with a period), then add a final sentence, “Dr. Witherspoon can offer the most accurate recommendations for your headaches after finding the primary issues causing them.”
Under “How we can help” tab, “Joint problems” link: top paragraph, change “Duncanville chiropractic treatment” to “Fix The Cause Chiropractic treatment”. in this section, multiple “duncanville chiropractor” changes. FAQ QUESTION 3: add to the end, new sentence, “Consult with Dr. Witherspoon for the best recommendations available for your condition.”
Under “How we can help” tab, “Auto accident” link: “Duncanville chiropractor” changes; other than that, good page!
TOP BAR: What to Expect tab: second paragraph – please put a link to our online paperwork there, and instead of 10-15 minutes early, put something like “please be on time or early to your appointment, as there will be additional paperwork to complete in the office, and we have built that time into your appointment.” THIRD PARAGRAPH: “Dr. Witherspoon will speak to you and determine if your issue seems like a problem we are equipped to help.” Last sentence of that paragraph: “If you choose to proceed and allow Dr. Witherspoon to further examine your issue to determine the cause of the problem, there will be a charge for the office visit.” MIDDLE SECTION, FIRST PARAGRAPH: “After Dr. Witherspoon checks out your problem and has formed his initial impression, it is very likely he will ask to take pictures of your spine. He often makes this request because knowing the current health of your bones and joints is crucial so he can best determine what kind of plan is necessary to help fix the cause of your problem.” THIRD SECTION, first paragraph, first sentence: “When you return at your second visit, Dr. Witherspoon will go over his findings with you, and based on his findings may perform a “test adjustment” to determine if your body is going to respond to his style of Chiropractic care.” Second paragraph: “Based upon your response to the test adjustment, Dr. Witherspoon will form a specific care plan and review it with you at your third visit. Dr. Witherspoon will always be straightforward, presenting a care plan that will address your symptoms as well as fix the cause of those symptoms.”
SIDE BAR: “Back decompression” needs to be removed. We don’t have those machines.
