Spoke with Anthony – client called regarding if mobile was included within the package – expressed to him that it is not because he placed a budget in front of me – I never once placed in email “Gold Package” but CUSTOM Gold Package – only time was on initial proposal to get a ball park of what he wants – client admitted my conversation with him regarding me asking if mobile is important to you – he said no & I asked what items he desired so I can work within his budget – hence why I customized the package to accommodate him – client was not able to see eye to eye & be reasonable – wants to cancel

Clarified with Anthony of what we can gaurantee and what we cannot. The scrolling effect will be done, but customizing the bounce rate or slide in transition time cannot be gauranteed. Explained that the effect he likes is standard, however the customizations of it is not. If he would like things to be customized further than what we would do, it would incur much more fees. The main concern of his was if a client were to visit a site, that they would think there is something wrong (in event effect is not working). Told him a client wouldn’t notice but he and I might, bc we know exactly what we’d like. Got through to him that we’re not starting from scratch with the effects.

Also noted that there will be a lag in scrolling if his page has more images. If the pages were short and simple, there will not be an issue. He confirmed that he understands, prime example: squarefactor.com has a lag bc of the videos/images.

Layout/design: He is open to the design but the layout he wants similar to the http://josefkjaergaard.com.

Responsiveness: Explained this will not be responsive, the sidebar/content region will not change widths as the browser expands or reduces. The active region of site will fit within phone browsers. If he would like a mobile version, it would be $999 + monthly, but told him to hold off on that. He thought the mobile version was included, but explained that its mobile-friendly and will function normally on a mobile phone. Sent him example of how our mobile version works.

Process: Olivia will send how the layout would look like, and then move into the design, colors, textures at a later time.

Anthony is reasonable and does not know much about how this all works but would like to learn. Once explained, he thoroughly understands.

I must start off with the fact that I have wanted the menu tab on the left side of the page from the beginning. Although I was told that it wouldn’t work with the scrolling effect that I was going for. After locating website www.josefkjergaard.com and seeing the aesthetics in this page I see that it works quite well. The website square factor.com was merely a tool that I used as an example of what I liked in regards of the page scrolling.

I need to be very clear in terms of what I need to see in my site going further. I need the aesthetics and functionality of the website www.josefkjergaard.com including the way the images appear to float into the screen as the menu tabs are high lighted.It needs to it function exactly this way. Each item must include an image of my choice, and some menu headers will need to include an inner page. I want the content to be almost identical to that on website Home I have already conveyed this to Olivia.
As far as the additional fees you are asking for, I will say that after I was told by Olivia that she didn’t think it was possible to recreate this look I started researching it myself. I spoke with a local web builder and showed him exactly what I wanted in terms of both sites and he assured me he could do it for 2800.00 and he was very thorough in his research. It doesn’t appear as what I am asking for is that far from the norm. in terms of current website design. If I would have agreed to pay 500.00 for the scroll effect and now 250.00 for the side menu it would put me at 3700.00. Well above our original agreement and far above my other bid.

As I told you before I am very reasonable but please put yourself in my shoes. I had a budget, I was given the impression that I would get exactly what I wanted with no limitations in design or function. In my mind that is what custom design built from scratch means. I appreciate the fact you have been willing to work with me from the beginning ,and waiving 2015 fees defiantly way in your favor. I cannot keep paying extra for something that is considered standard with modern day web builders. If I am being unreasonable , and you can’t deliver what I want for what we agreed on then I think it is best we stop this project and part ways. I wouldn’t want our relationship to start off on the wrong foot. If you consider my points valid and you can deliver what I want for what we agreed upon, I would like to move forward. Either way my issue is not with you. You have been more than helpfull. I totally understand If you consider my request to demanding or unobtainable. I think we both didn’t have a clear understanding of expectations.

1/29: Brijesh says he can do the website with the side scroll menu (http://www.josefkjaergaard.com) in HTML or JQUERY. Waiting on his response for WordPress and $ for development.

– Spoke to client and told him that our developer team is still looking into the coding solutions to do this but as of right now it doesn’t look like its possible. He originally wanted the menu bar stationed at the top and changed his mind but now he’s adamant about having the menu on the side. Will follow up with client once I find out more. Design on pause for now.

I took a look at the link you provided and a really think there is a huge difference between it and what I was hoping to get. I went into this with a few basic ideas that I would like to have on my website which was color schemes, a few animation movement’s with the content tabs and the scrolling effect like in the square factor website. I was under the impression you could provide these for the price I paid. I hope I am not being to difficult because that is not my intent, I just would like to get something that I like. You guys are wonderful and I understand if these things are too difficult . But at this point, please hold off on my design. I was really hoping to get something different than other lab websites out there. Give me and my wife a few days to really think about if I want to move forward with a standard site. Please excuse the typos and his was sent from a mobile. You will here back from me soon.
